NVIDIA updates the Shield Tablet to fix color issue

After the last update sent to the NVIDIA Shield Tablet, which brought version 2.2 to the device last week, there were some complaints that some colors, especially reds, were muted. The update was supposed to bring new games and improved standby battery life to the device along with several performance enhancements.

NVIDIA quickly put together a fix which was sent out on Thursday to Shield owners. The changelog is brief, but covers the color issue and another problem users were having with Netflix. The complete list reads "Display color-space correction, Improvements to Netflix experience."

The update could very well have already hit your tablet. You should find it waiting for you in the Shield Tablet's setings. Download and install it and you should notice brighter colors immediately.

I am using LTE version of Nvidia Shield Tablet and I am loving it. It is fast, runs heavy games without dropping frames and it gives 99.9 percent Android stock experience. You have more control over CPU cores to use . Gamers understand well the potential of the device and for everyone else it is a great Android tablet with almost nexus experience for the price of 300-400.
