NVIDIA drops the price of Shield console ahead of launch

Anyone who has been waiting to get one of them Shield gaming consoles with Android will be happy to know that NVIDIA has dropped their price. Initially expected to launch for $349, the portable gaming console is now on pre-order for less, expected to ship later this month...

Smart move Cuz for 50 bucks more of the original price i could buy a Ps4 ($399) ...sure there wouldn't be portability but then again u couldn't compare graphics against ps4

Yes you are right,but its only about graphics.
Shield is more than a gaming console,as Nick T. mentioned: its like a smartphone
The price of the games on play store is 0.99$ - 6.99$ while for playstation 4 they are\will be expensive.
another benefit is that you can use other apps instead of just games.
You are right,i Would go for the PS4 too because instead of the shield i would rather wait for a tegra 4 smartphone,because i would get everything else + the smartphone features.
