MyTouch 3G version 1.2 not the Fender edition - but sports 3.5mm port instead?

With all the Android madness going on, news about older handsets like the myTouch 3G might get lost in all of the talk. One new surprising piece of information to come about it is that the myTouch 3G version 1.2 may no longer be the Fender edition everyone though it would be – instead it’ll most likely sport a 3.5mm headset port that was absent on the original. It’s even made more clear when materials that hint toward two new sets of accessory SKUs were modified to fit “both” devices. Although the myTouch 3G could be written off as yesterday’s news, hopefully this new version will come out with something else good to make it stand prominent among the entire line of current Android devices.
