Competition is good. If theirs is better and faster it will only make your favorite OEM step up their game. If apples works for now doesn't mean it's flawless. I use a 5s and yes it works but not all the time. This is tech, it evolves and someone can always find or produce a better tech than yours. No fanboyism is needed here.

On the 5S you can unlock the phone by placing your thumb on the home button and pressing it only once not twice

That's true. Takes like half a second.

What they mean is that the fingerprint-recognition is two steps.

It's a shame there isn't a single original idea behind designing this phone. Say if this came out a year ago it would have been a major winner imho. It's actually a really nice looking device. Since Huawei is predicting they'd be more "well known" in the western market in around 3-5 years, I suspect that's the timeframe we'd finally see something original from them. Right now I think it's nothing but a showcase that they can build something on par with the competition.

how about they use their own CPU - or that the finger print scanner works from multiple angles and is placed on the back - their claim to being fastest, has nothing to do with the finger print scanner, but rather the new antenna, the new LTE connectivity (with being such new technology, that it is not available yet in smaller countries, such as say England ;-) - come on thats three original ideas right off the top of my head and I'm not even trying

isn't big brother really Google? and Apple, not only do they watch everything you do, thats a company that tries to tell you what you can do, don't get me started on Apple ;-) Huawei being X military seems not, repeat not into cooperating with goverment, I kind of see it like what happened with the Vietnam Vets in the Florida Keys, a lot of us are concerned with security and our phones, personally I feel more secure routing through Huawei

It's not coming to the US carriers so why claim something when many people can;t even use the phone?

you can use an unlocked phone with any carrier - thats not really news - whats news is Huawei's improved antenna - oh that more of us here in North America are to starting to realize theres better tech available than whats being made available to us at more affordable prices
