Motorola prepares rugged version of the i870 – the i580

The FCC approved a new Motorola i580 iDEN phone, which is a rugged version of the i870. The i580 copies the i870's features, but changes the clamshell body to a rubberized one and removes the music dedicated keys on the front flip. It features WiDEN and MotoTalk and has 1.3 mega pixels camera with flash. It also sports dual displays. The main (internal) display is probably 262k color like the one used in the i870.

The i580 hasn't been officially announced yet, but it already has an FCC approval and is expected to launch on Sprint Nextel soon.
