Sorry wont go Apple. Dont want to have no more choice and be stuck with same OEM for ever.. I buy a lots of apps and i like to be able to change OEM.. Just those past 5 years : Blackberry ( yeah i know... ) , HTC , LG , Sony , Samsung and Sonim. Beside the Blackberry who was my first phone my employer gave me all the others one where android and i still use my apps i got 5 years ago. My next phone might be from another OEM like huawei ect.. With ios you have no choice... you can get a cheap older phone , a flagship thats has mid end spec and horrible battery life or a phone thats is better than the others iphone but way way too big.

I don't think 5.7" device with SD 810 sale very well (not saying not a good device).

The 5.7" Moto X Style has a 808, not an 810.

Ohh yah I meant to type 808, thanks.

There's always something missing. OnePlus 2 no NFC Moto X Style no OIS

Yeah, I'm waiting to see if the OIS is going to be a deal-breaker. It's hard to argue with just about everything else about it. I would've traded the QHD screen for 1080p and OIS on the camera.

Why would the battery be smaller on the flagship device..??

I was going to write up an explanation for you... but I can't really think of any justification really. I would have loved that Play battery on the Style model. Maybe the specs are reflective in the name of the device, to help consumers identify what the focus of each model is. 3000 mAh and 30 hour battery life isn't bad though, especially with Turbo charging.

Play - kinda obvious, people who are always on the move and using their devices. Hence, it gets a larger battery and more battery friendly features (1080p screen, SD615). Style - think iPhone-ish, here. People who want their phone to be somewhat of a fashion statement or "look what I've got". Beautiful screen, awesome design, emphasis on being slim. That's my best explanation for it. That said, the style it smaller than the N6, but almost has the same size battery...I'll take it! My N6 can become a small tablet :P

It's a shame moto maker won't come to most countries as usual. :/

According to the LiveBlog it will be $399 for the base model at least that's from what I can infer). So probably $399-16GB, $449-32GB, $499-64GB. And don't forget the Turbo charging technology that touts 10 hours of battery for a 15 minute charge. I wanted the X Play over this due to the battery, bu with quick charging like that, I can make it through.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm going to start a smartphone company. We are going to offer 4 phones. There will be 2 sizes 5" and 5.7". Two 5" phones, one will be made of premium materials and will not have sd or removable battery. One 5" phone will be unlocked with removable battery and sd slot and will be running vanilla android. The 5.7" phones will follow the same idea. They will not be thick, but battery size will not be compromised for design. All will have minimum 3,000 mAh batteries. All phones will have fingerprint, nfc, fast charge, ois and top-of-the-line hardware specs. All will run latest version of Android. We will run 1080p screens with no apologies.

I agree, all I see is a Nexus design rehash...and everybody gets excited for no reason. I must be missing something

Better specs, less expensive, Moto Maker customization, Motorola software. Those are the benefits over the Nexus 6.

Yep, wtf were they thinking? I'd rather get oneplus 2.

41. InspectorGadget80 unregistered

Motorola always listens to their consumers HUGE A.. battery in that sucker. Now I need a way to trade my G4 for the X PLAY OR STYLE.

Now Samsung will know if they let the Note 5 down with no card Slot or Removable battery, that the Motorola X will be a phone that will not be as expensive as the Note 5,and the Note 4 users could switch to,well done Motorola

More like Axon phone killer. It's more expensive than oneplus 2, bigger, heavier, smaller battery just to name a few.
