Motorola DROID RAZR hits Verizon's system chock full of big time specs

What upcoming thin LTE enabled handset has just hit Verizon's equipment infocenter? That's right, it is the Motorola DROID RAZR and plenty of Verizon customers with an update to burn can't decide between this and the Samsung GALAXY Nexus...

Love how gem and king always bitch when someone trolls on an apple article but never had any issues being annoying on androids.

Especially, when they present us with unintelligible arguments.

This has been going on since the older PC vs Mac days. Go to a PC forum or talk to someone about computers and lo & behold, a condescending egotistical Apple fan with a chip on his shoulder. While I don't agree with everything Apple incorporates into it's products I can at least respect a product for what it does do well and take it into consideration. But it's the people like gem, king, taco, and miz that turn me away every time. Rotten fruits.

Actually, yes, yes I am. Trolling on any level is a turn off. But thank you for lumping me in with some stereotype you have your mind set on without having all the facts. And thank you again for reinforcing the Apple fanboy status quo. Please learn the difference between enthusiast, debate, and trolling.

I hear the prime will basically be "bloatware" free as compared to the razr. That's what makes my mind up.

I have become done with you chirping fools talking "bloatware". Such absolute nonsense. Just repeat the BS from apple fanboys as if it means anything. "Wow, I have an app loaded I don't choose to use. It makes my phone..." WHAT??? Think it makes your phone thicker? Heavier? Slower? What??? Come on "bloatware" sheep... You continually parrot BS from the "reviews" on PA yet have not one reason why a couple icons you don't press in your app list "bloat" the phone. If you don't have 75 cents a day for a Rhapsody subscription...dont get one. The app in your list on bottom of last pane "bloats" ....HOW? If your only answer is 4 or 5 extra icons in your app list , you are a COMPLETE AND TOTAL FOOL.

With the phone rooted, I deleted all carrier apps, the gallery stock app, the music stock app, and the file explorer stock app. I found better replacements for those on the market.

"BLOATWARE"= useless annoying crap that slows down the phone, and is using data for no reason, or starts up on it's own all the time........waaaaak! polly wanna cracker?...looool

You have no understanding how memory works. I am surprised you are able to find the on switch with your level of stupidity. How does it slow down the phone? You have no answer. Can give none because there is none. It takes up no RAM at all....You do know that right? Tell us the difference between RAM and ROM and then apply it to a few icons at the bottom of your last app pane. To make a stament such as "start up on it's own" signifies a fundemantal lack of knowledge. You are ill equiped to comment on technology at all, and certainly beyond your depths matching wits with the likes of myself. How many SUBSCRIPTION services do you think run without being SUBSCRIBED TOO? Huh? Class dismissed.

On ics if your phone has bloat you can just disable it, this phone is said to update really fast to it

No microSD card slot and non-removable battery is not choice I will pick Galaxy SII.

It has a microSD card slot... The Galaxy Nexus is the one without SD card support.

This is a tough choice for me - NEXUS Prime or DROID RAZR....but, if I stay with AT&T, then the SGS2 will still be a great phone that will get ICS 4.0, someday, or until I flash the ICS ROM from XDA.

wow I thought having 2 phones that were so similar would be great!! Now the choice is killing me. 1 Doesn't have a microSD, the other doesn't have a replaceable battery. While the replaceable battery isn't a huge day-day issue for me, I do generally buy a new battery after about a year due to reduced performance. doh... decisions decisions...

I would definitely pick the Nexus. Droid RAZR is an OMAP 4430 overclocked. The Galaxy Nexus is an OMAP 4460 underclocked. The Droid RAZR has a very nice build, but it's hampered by restrictions (locked bootloader, non-removable battery) and ninja-blur. Plus the SAMOLED may not be RGB, but it's still a really high resolution... even though I loathe pentile displays, Samsung's RGBG configuration seems to work much better than Motorola's RGBW.

dont underestimate the power of an OC'd 4430, from what i experienced it performs on par with the 4460 on the nexus

From what I hear, the SAMOLED Advanced screens Motorola are using are RGBG PenTile - not RGBW.

where do you get your facts? everything else thats been reported about the razr says it has the same OMAP 4460 of the nexus...

Its a big disapponitment being not able to pull battery out. Now iam more inclined to galaxy nexus, though it doesnt have sd slot.

It amaze me how much a person will pay for an already over priced phone. Verizon is trying to set a new standard in pricing phone and testing to see how much a person is willing to pay. I just hope that Apple don't follow in the same footsteps when they release the Iphone5 next year. People wake up and stop buying phones that are outdated by the time the phone get in your hands.

Yeah and people always say not to buy brand new cars because the value drops so much the minute you leave the lot... some of us don't mind and just like new things. I bought a 2011 VW just this year.

Apple cares about their customers. They drove down the cost of buying a smartphone and data plans.

that was att, not apple

That was tmobile and sprint, not ATT nor Apple. We call that "competition". and only the most crazed fanboy would ever put "apple" and "cost savings" in the same sentence since they are LITERALLY the most over priced hardware you can buy.. 70% margins.. lol

HAHAHAHA.. .gasp... HAHAHAHA Apple cares about it's customers? That's a GOOD one!! They don't care about you any more than your insurance company does... sure they say they do, but they just want your $$. If they cared so damn much, why is every one of their products price fixed? NO deals anywhere?? Why are they consistently the MOST expensive phone/laptop anywhere?
