Motorola DROID 2 now available online
Yesterday Verizon finally put a nail in the coffin of all leaks and rumors, and announced retail store availability for the Motorola DROID 2 starting August 12th. Right at this very moment, however, you can grab it off Verizon's website, and have it delivered tomorrow. Pricing is set to the usual $199 on a 2-year contract, plus you have to add a data plan on top of whatever talk plan you choose.

The carrier is offering free overnight shipping if you order by 4:30pm your local time. So, what do you say, are you planning to be one of the first to adopt the prodigal Motorola DROID 2, or are you so mesmerized by its R2-D2 iteration that you will hold horses until September?
