Motorola Active Display and Motorola Assist are updated in the Google Play Store

Motorola put some of its features on the Google Play Store as individual apps. This makes it easier and quicker for Motorola users to update them. On Thursday, two of the apps, Motorola Active Display and Motorola Assist, were updated. The pair are available for the Motorola Moto X, and Motorola DROID devices powered by the X8 chip...

Hmmm. I was excited for more Moto G Assist features. The Moto G Assist features are pretty sparse.

Why didn't google bring the always on voice assistant feature to the nexus 5, given that the S800 has a dedicated always on chip for voice processing?

That's weird, I didn't see you make any similar comments in the article about Apple Maps sending people to the wrong places. But I guess you hold Motorola to a higher quality control standard than Apple.

Not at all. Motorola has their share of problems. In this case, along with the story on the SMS bug, they are minor updates, the kind of things that routinely happen with any device that can be updated. Some of these things only come about after the end user gets to try them out. When engineering, be it hardware or software, you try to cover every contingency, but that's not possible because the end user may not use the device exactly as the engineer imagined.

And speaking of bias, two Moto articles dealing with bugs, and you're slamming on both of them. When an Apple article talks about an update, your comment is something along the lines of "Way to keep improving". When it's an article on Moto, it's more like "Why wasn't this done before it was released".

So I'll tell you what, if you can show me an Apple product that is capable of being updated, but didn't need to be because Apple was so on the ball that they solved all the issues pre launch, I'll agree that Moto is in the wrong. And by updates I mean any .1 or .5 update. The ball's in your court now.

No, it sounds like a legitimate observation to me. Maybe you're blinded by bias? That seems to make more sense.

Myx just trolls any & all moto posts relentlessly, he's got a hard on for slagging moto because one time a very long time ago he got burnt on one of moto's phones. Guys got issues. Don't feed him.
