Moto E5 Plus heading to Cricket as the E5 Supra?

Tipster Evan Blass has disseminated a render showing that a version of the Motorola E5 Plus will be headed to pre-paid carrier Cricket Wireless. According to the tweet, the AT&T subsidiary will change the handset's name to the E5 Supra. It was just a few days ago that Blass leaked an image of the Moto E5 Plus in light blue. There are certainly some things to look forward to here, including the rear mounted fingerprint scanner embossed with the iconic Motorola batwings logo, and a massive 5000mAh battery that keeps the phone running a long time between charges.

The latest speculation calls for the device to carry a 5.8-inch display with a 720 x 1440 resolution (HD+), which works out to an 18:9 aspect ratio. A quad-core CPU drives the unit, which will be equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32/64GB of native storage. Despite a second cutout located on the camera module, Blass says that there is only one rear snapper on the phone. And look at the branding at the bottom of the render. Gone is the Moto name, replaced by the Motorola moniker.

It would appear as though Cricket's E5 Supra will be offered in black. Pricing and availability will have to wait for the official announcement from Cricket. So far, the pre-paid wireless operator hasn't chirped about this handset at all. Of course, that could be because Motorola has yet to make the E5 Plus official. Based on the date seen on the render's display, we could see the phone unveiled on April 3rd.
