Soon their will come to the iPhone in a new fresh way, and PhoneArena will go over the top regarding how innovative apple is.....

Air view may have been a joke on the S4, but it was one of the main selling points for the old Note phones for me. 5 years ago there were still plenty of websites around that didn't play well with mobile, and that ability to hover and open drop down menus with the pen was priceless, it was a superior web browsing experience to anything else mobile.

I was in South Korea when this phone first launched, and it was an amazing experience. Anyone who'd had the phone in Korea could attest to the fact that it's pros greatly outweighed the cons...there. 1080p screen, removable battery, NFC for buses, trains, and you could even use it as a debit card to make in-store payments: You couldn't beat that in 2013

I hate how you act like Samsung had Face Unlock first. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus was the first phone, without TouchWiz, but with stock Android before the Galaxy S3 was out.

I don't think that edge lighting is a gimmick. I use it on my note8.

The original idea of having the phone laying screen down was how it started. It was trash. Since the S8, they started lighting up the screen when the phone is facing up, which is way better. The first edition of it was a gimmick, the newer version is way better

S4 was my first smartphone, and the only phone I've used for more than 2 years. I had already started down the Apple path with an iPod Touch 4th gen, but these "gimmicks" made me choose Samsung. Loved that phone. Rocking an S8+ right now and don't plan to upgrade until maybe S10+.

All of those were useful. The S4 sucked anyways. Funny how those are so useless but some are on many of today's phoms including the iPhone.

Since I attend a lot of meetings, edge lighting has been very useful, since I have to turn the sounds off and I hate vibration. So seeing the sides light up and know. Who is calling is a great useful feature. We get it, we know there are so many haters here.

Yeah phonearena does like to bash Samsung a lot, but some of those Samsung fan boys are just as obnoxious, I laugh eveytime I see someone praising note series like some kind of deity

At least they tried something to differentiate themselves from the competition. Can't really say that to the other Android manufacturers.

features found on Samsung devices that (i)phonearena wishes Apple had in their devices years ago. Jealous much

Samsung sold millions of phones by advertising those half baked features. They deceived lots of people. That's why today all their flagships are flops.

I suggest PhoneArena should do the same for other phone manufacturers not just Samsung.

There is a simple reason for that and that is Apple is just the best! Now stop crying and try and use these useless features on your crappy little Samsung phone. There's a good boy!

Let me save you the wait - There aren't any at all! Apple is simply the best and only put the best features that people actually use. Tissue?

"Considering that the feature is no longer in existence in Samsung’s recent smartphones, it’s quite telling that it was useless from the onset" I hope that you'll say the same thing about 3D Touch when it eventually disappears, in a couple of years.
