More upclose shots of the Samsung Rogue
One of our users was able to get a chance to check out the upcoming Samsung Rogue for Verizon Wireless. By now, everyone probably knows that this one will be Big Red's first phone to utilize an AMOLED screen. It definitely is a nice looking handset which will compete against the LG enV Touch on Verizon's lineup. Although it boasts some impressive specs, the build quality just does not seem quite as solid as the LG enV Touch. Our dear friend goes on to state that it does not have that durable feel – lacking that fine quality in material build. We're sure either way that current Samsung Glyde owners will be blown away by this device and probably switch to it. Expect our review soon!

this phone is honestly the only phone for samsung that to me...kicks ass...i like this better that the omnia all the way around only for fun and form factor...ive been using it for a week now and have nothing but good things to say about it...finnaly sammy steped it up to actually compete with the big dogs such as lg...motorola has a long way to go...i dont even bother pushing those. in our store location there is no talk of the glyde perion...that phone is dead to us. the rogue has since somewhat regain some of my faith with sammy, enough to consider to drop my storm. the bluetoo sync if even entertaining to watch because of the graphic intercase and the animations...advance feature phone capabilities yet even a not so tech savy person can handle aslong ans he has some common sense...theyve been selling like crazy despite the data pkgs...or changing your plan to atleast a connect think about...25mb for 9.99 or 9.99 to change you plan to a connect and get unlimited...whres the confusion or draw back?? our plans have too much flexability all your needs will be custom tailored no matter what you need... almost too much its rediculous yet a lot of people dont understand the value of what want versus what they need and what they are looking for versus what they will actually use. example: premium 900 plan will give you unlimited data, mobile email , unlimited texting, unlim navigator and unlimited vcast...virtually everything the rogue needs to take full advantage of its capablities right?? so why would you have a 900 select plan for which only gives you unlimited txt...then proceed to get say...the 19.99 75mb data plan for the rogue??? and still have to pay $5 for mobile email, 9.99 for vcast (cuz that has changed no longer $ 15 and only covers vcast video specific data not unlim data & mobile web together) for those not good in 4th grade math... that is a saving of atleast $30 off the get go. its been almost out for a week and they have been good sellers dispite the alterations for the data. the env touch on the other hand is a good capable phone that has virtual same capabilities and the rouge but doesnt require the aditional data / plan change... so its a good alternative for those considering the two devices....notice i said devices and not phones since these are far from just phones...another soulution...and to all you people that piss and moan that your pussys hurt on these forums and just go back to pagers... its call compromise no phone will have it all. the storm (which i have will not do alot that the iphone will do and vice versa...the iphone has ALOT of capabilities that the storm wont do or if it can will not do as well as the iphone...thats just the way it is. accept that reality and move on...i mean in the end...who really gives a shit. i know vzw employees that have blackberry storms and tours and yet also have iphones....ok my venting seession is now complete so feel free to comment or flame on

I should be getting one to demo for 4 months, should be getting it at the beginning of next week. It looks nice, feels much better in the hand than the Glyde, better touch screen in general

I spoke with a local Verizon rep today, asked if the Rogue was available, and they confirmed release date is September 8th.
