I've been a Palm Pre owner for sometime now and I got to say that if the only thing Palm can came up with is a the same form factor after more than a year without any new phone, I got to say it's very dissapointing. Specially after so many Android phones on the market (HTC Evo 4.3" screen, Samsung Epic 4G 4" screen, Motorola Droid, Samsung Galaxy S series) is sad. If the new Pre is the same slider phone, same screen size, same kind of keyboard then that shows Palm is not trying to shock the wireless community. I hope they will come up with a large screen phone that could compete with all of this nice phones on the market, maybe no waste so much space on the front of the phone (all the bottom area of the front of the phone seems like a waste of space, USE IT TO MAKE THE SCREEN BIGGER!!)

The area on the bottom of the phone isn't really a waist of space... its the gesture area which actually comes really handy when operating a webOS phone... I will however say that I am greatly disappointed in palm/hp for producing the same device 3 times now... why do they believe in that design concept so much? Sure it was cool at the time but this is what it should have been at the original launch last year. 2011 is coming and no matter how great webOS 2.0 is... software won't make up for their lack of insight when it comes to new hardware.

Palm can't be serious... HP can't be serious as to let Palm be serious. This has got to be a joke. 3rd time around isn't always a charm. In this case I can assure.

No wonder why it's not in the South East Asia, even if it's out the same boring design won't attract us.

Didn't Apple did the same thing for the last 3 generations?? I don't see anyone complained about the iPhone 2-3gs...

True, but Palm/HP has much, much, much more to prove than Apple. They need to be bold and come up with something exciting. My guess is that the Pre 2 was already advanced in its development cycle and this will be a stop gap until HP comes up with more compelling phones next year.....We HOPE!

Even if the Palm Pre 2 is just the last of Palm's solo efforts, I'm surprised that HP doesn't at least offer different color options (white anyone?) to make the phone at least seem new.

It looks like a Dvorak keyboard layout which is popular in Europe.

What carrier is it for? Phones that are leaked usually have the carrier's name printed on it. I guess nobody wants to claim this.

Too bad... They had something going with the original pre but didn't keep up the momentum. They need to scrap this trash, get a revamped model and pay some freaking developers to make some apps. If this is what they are going to do, they're dead.
