Microsoft and AT&T Wireless showed new software named Microsoft Enterprise Location Server, that brings together XML Web services and AT&T Wireless' network to enable location based services. The software is the first product of a strategic alliance formed between the two companies in July. The software is built for Pocket PC-based phones and brings together MapPoint(R) .NET information and real-time location data from AT&T Wireless. It would allow the users to obtain details maps of their current location and a wide range of other services.
