Microsoft launches new Xbox Game Pass app for Android and iOS
As Gamescom, the biggest European annual gaming convention is kicking off in Cologne, Germany, many game developers and publisher announce new products, and some of them are aimed at mobile users. Microsoft's new Xbox Game Pass was officially introduced at Gamescom earlier this week as a mobile app for Android and iOS platforms.

The app is available in beta starting today, so Xbox One owners can already download it via App Store and Google Play Store. Keep in mind that the iOS version requires users to sign up for the TestFlight channel so that they can receive the beta app.

Microsoft's new app allows users to view the Xbox Game Pass catalog directly from their mobile devices. Moreover, Xbox One owners can download the games they own straight to their console when they're on their mobile devices so that they are ready to play when they turn on their consoles.

In order to use this specific feature, you'll have to set your Xbox One console to “Instant-On” mode so that it can download games when you're on the move. You'll find this option in the Power & Startup menu in Settings.

Also, with the Xbox Game Pass app, you'll receive notifications about new games coming to Xbox Game Pass so that you can pre-download them to your Xbox One even if you're not around.
