And SD slot - it's a must for this phone.

1k pictures in a month and my 32gb has not suffered. One drive has proven great. I would like an SD Card, options are always great, but not a deal breaker for me.

we don't want 50MP cam. What about filesize and all troubles that come along and even if you can decrease the MP why to concentrate on that. We just want a good camera even if it is 5 or 8MP.

925, 930, 1520, 830. Great stuff. However 41mp on the 1020 just is a cut above bar none. File size? 1020 comes with like 20gb or so of usable space after some app installs and games etc. You would need to take nearly 600+- full raw pictures without deleting a single one to fill up that type of memory. 600..... Considering you can upload the raws etc to onedrive, i would think after 200, you would clear them out.

Folks January is not far ahead. Microsoft is said to be heading for CES so this smart phone be could be there to greet us. they have to have something interesting at CES next month or why even appear there. I hope Microsoft introduces a new cheaper Surface computer that cost less than 450 dollars with the type cover using an Intel Atom CPU running good old full Windows 8.1 / 10.. I have a feeling though they will introduce a smaller lumia tablet to replace the Nokia lumia 2520 and a surface 3. both will run ARMS CPU's, Windows 10 and will be running the new upcoming Microsoft "Universal Apps". I predict Microsoft will probably beat Apple to the market with a Microsoft branded 50 inch HDTV integrated to X BOX and Microsoft's Apps store and it's video and Music apps.

The rumour is from NokiaPowerUser, which are usually highly UNRELIABLE. And even THEY are sceptical about this rumour. I'd give this a 0/10, would not trust again.

My question for anyone who has expertise in the area of Camera Flash technology is if a 4th-gen short-pulse LED flash performs better than a combination LED Flash + Xenon flash that currently exist on my Lumia 1020. I'll be very disappointed if I go backwards in flash technology. I take a lot of pictures of moving objects, and the Xenon flash works perfectly at freezing those objects and thereby produces pictures in perfect focus with no blurs. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

Well Xenon flashes higher intensity with a shorter span-few milliseconds, which is what helps it 'freeze' the moment. Currently LEDs cant match the speed/power in a phone setup. However, there are applications, and things all over the web, of photographers going to LEDs because of lifespan. They are using customer outage and speed to achieve same results. If the LED in the 4thgen shortpulse, can match intensity and milisecond output, then it should have no problem replacing the xenon in the phone.

Why no xenon flash? Xenon is still better than led flash! They should build both in the phone!

"Alleged" is the key word. We'll not see any believable until after CES, if then.

So THE BEST camerphone on the market even TODAY (as I type this on the 1st of December 2014) is going to be refreshed with a newer model?! Even if the rumors are 50% true, this device is shaping to be a KILLER phone... ... only so PhoneArena can take it. Give it poor reviews... Not include it in any blind camera tests... and then write up some literature about how it is/was "one of the more potent cameraphones" when in reality it is THE BAR all other smartphones compete against.

Lack of xenon flash seems like a step back. Oh well, it's MS, so that should have been expected...

Everything is nice, but I'd like the xenon flash back :(
