Microsoft Launcher 5.0 brings Timeline support, new Feed UI, more
Microsoft made a couple of interesting announcements earlier today during its Surface event, but one, in particular, may have been overlooked since it's not related with any of the new devices revealed today: Microsoft Launcher 5.0.

The new version of the Android launcher is now making its way to beta testers and will be rolled out to everyone in the coming weeks. The most important addition to Microsoft Launcher is Timeline support, which allows users to sync activity between their PC and phone when signed into the same Microsoft Account.

For example, if you're working in an Office document on your PC, you can continue working on your phone from where you left off, assuming you have the Office Mobile apps installed. The new feature is available on Android devices only, but iOS users will get it as well.

Also, Microsoft Launcher 5.0 comes with a new Feed UI that's now split into three tabs: Glance, News, and Timeline. You can tailor your Feed experience from the settings menu at the top of the Feed.

Last but not least, the update includes some other smaller changes like real-time location tracking for Family and the option to use Cortana to send emails with multi-turn emailing.
