MediaTek expected to reveal quad and octa-core 64-bit LTE mobile chipsets at MWC 2014

According to a Chinese report, MediaTek will reveal two 64-bit LTE mobile chipsets at MWC 2014. They are the quad-core MT6372 and the eight-core MT6752. The MT6372 is designed as a competitor to Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 410. Its availability is expected for the third quarter of 2014. The eight-core MT6752 will be MTK's high-end offering, and is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of the year...

But I will really appreciate it if your chipset are more energy efficient.

Imagine.. 3 days on 2000mah LiPo with heavy usage.

That's the real innovation folks.

The SoC isn't everything, you know...
Without efficient display, modem and sensors, the power efficiency of SoC is of little importance.

They're far more energy efficient than the Snapdragon processors. Also, the SoC can't do all the work. The rest of the specs on the device have to contribute as well.

Right, but intel atom is the most efficient of all !! Not to mention intel's also the only chipset maker to support dual boot wooooott !!

Still, snapdragon is the most powerful.

I don't know, but do guys think samsung/mtk's developments of octa-core, contrary to qualcomm, have anything to do with Western/Eastern philosophy of quality vs quantity? [No Racism]
