Mac designer says Apple is not an innovative company anymore

Apple has millions of loyal fans around the world, but more and more ex-Apple employees are being increasingly critical of the company and its direction in the newest post-Steve Jobs era. We've already seen former Apple director, and current Oracle CEO Larry Ellison intimate that he expects Apple to fail without Jobs; and now, the man who helped Jobs design the original Mac is saying that Apple is not an innovative company anymore...

The man has forgotten more tech than most of us will ever even know. Steve Jobs never made a thing, but look at how much his words meant to the tech word. So just because he hasn't been inventing, doesn't mean he should be dismissed.

Best thing about Apple is their marketing. They know how to market their product and release them at right time. They make everyone want their product. Im not saying their product are bad but there are just other products that are just as good or better at lower price

Apple's only strength from getting good sales right now is from their loyal fan base. Otherwise, people would have stopped getting idevices. +1 for you

Yeah, I agree with you. iPhone isn't bad. It's just not worthy to compete with other flagship phones. Apple needs to lower the price.

Marketing is surely one of Apple's core competencies. But if it was only the Marketing, then how do you explain the people that buy Apple products again and again? They must be satisfied with Apple products in some way. I think Apple is able to somehow create a very cool user experience that goes beyond the pure specs. P.S: I like your new profile pic.

History repeats itself. All of Apple's most celebrated moments, was when Steve Jobs had reigns of the company. He hand picked every person that helped innovate on the technology of then and up until his death. Apple has shuffled or eliminated personal in order to achieve some new hope. The coat tails are nowhere of being immediatedly shortened, but, the man behind taking products and envisioning them as infamous household brands, is gone and anyone trying to master his marketing techniques, has their job cut out for them. Apple has peaked. John B.

No surprise there. Apple assembles parts, they don't manufacture it. They are limited to what the industry can and is willing to offer. There's no question that Apple can buy large exclusive quantities of inventories but they're not the only ones buying now.

First of all motorola does the same thing and so does samsung. Apple never innovated after their first iPhone. Not to mention their computers... macs are overpriced junk
