Lumia 928 ad talks up the phone's "better than iPhone, better than Galaxy" low-light camera performance

With the Nokia Lumia 928 assuming the position of most versatile Windows Phone cameraphone, Microsoft has felt that the time is right to support the handset with a strong ad campaign (always a good idea). Here's a video that illustrates the abilities of the Lumia 928 pretty well...

He wants to, but he can't, cause he can't have them, and it's not available on Nokia. So he is really angry and kicking, and becoming violent. No need to be indenial, just get over it please, and stop hating, cause you will never become you're self anymore. "®

These Homodroids, they really don't know what they're talking about. Talk about that redundant design of the Galaxy line and can you please do me a favor? Please pull up the most decent Android phone running on 512MB RAM and test it against Lumia 520, 620 and 720. I must say today is Android's heyday.. what about tomorrow?

I have said it before and I will say it again When it comes to Low light picture taking Nokia has got!! With the exception of the HTC One Nokia has done wonders on the camera front. However, That said, a Smartphone is not all about the camera. Microsoft has to start pulling it's own weight and start adding the small features that are missing from WP8 to let it compete against the other OS. Nokia has done all they can do and it shows. I know its a dead horse already but if Nokia had also chosen to keep it's options open and produce a Android device, ( and Elop did not make the statement that they were on a burning platform before they had any devices to show) I believe Samsung would not be i the position it is now. Nokia would be in the top position.

It may be better, and congrats on that. I feel like we should move on and let Nokia snatch up the crumbs left behind by Android and Apple while it can.

That's all Nokia has against Samsung and other oems, yet their proccessors are still the same as last year and not as powerful, cameras are important in a phone but definitely not everything

WP8 kicks's Androids worthless butt in terms of speed, and requires less resources while providing better performance. In other words, hardware isn't everything; the Lumia flagships run faster in most respects than the latest Android flagships (S4, HTC ONE, Xperia Z, so forth).

Android worthless? You really don't know your stuff but I need to look into that claim that lumias run faster cause I don't believe that

There are a few things that better hardware will get you: faster transcoding (but who does that on their phone?), faster complex 3d graphic calculations (another unlikely situation), and cpu/memory heavy applications such as image editing and filters. The simple fact is that WP8 can run with less memory than Android, which is built on older code foundations. The tiled WP8 UI runs smoothly even on lower end devices, and the high end 920/925/928's obviously have no problem. What are you really getting in an S4 that you don't with a Lumia 920? Android apps, HDMI out, removeable battery, 5' screen vs 4.5', and an SD slot for those who don't have access to the cloud... You will pay 200.00 - 300.00 more for all that, for the same general funcationality. The S4 camera will be inferior, the display less bright in outdoors, the audio output and recording equal or lesser, and the build quality not as robust. More expensive doesn't always mean better! Of course Android isn't worthless - that's just my wording, but WP8 is good and about to get a lot better after they release the Windows Phone Blue patch. You should take a closer look at Nokia's device menu...cheers!

This post doesn't make sense. You're paying more (100 more on contract 150 more off) but you're getting a much faster processor, more ram, a phone that's about 24% larger screen, more pixel dense screen, a phone that most consider to have a better camera, but even if you consider Lumia better, that's really the only plus. I like the Lumia, but Windows has no comparison to Android. Windows should be fighting Apple since they're similar stengths (ease of use walled garden approach) unlike android which is infinitely more customizable and much more tech friendly.

Lol, you might as well believe it. Try loading the same app, each on Android and WP, then tell me about it.

Yea lets put Androids resources on Wp8, it would lag even more! Would love to see Wp8 becoming like Android full OS, and see.. ®

WP8 is superior to Android: it's only the number of Android apps that make it worth bothering. The code itself is old and feeble...

Is Nokia still running dual cores? When WM actually releases some games that require some more RAM and better processors, try running a real game thats on Android instead of playing chineese checkers. Then try to tell yourself that Nokia is faster. It still doesn't do anything special years later... My grandma has one and everything is hidden and cumbersome. Menus after menus. The phone revolves around over sized lettering and menus.

You totally missed the point, buddy. No such thing as 'real' games on smartphones. Time for you to go back to your X360 or PS3; choose your poison, and learn what 'real' games are. Android got nothing.

The Lumia 920 and 928 would have been impressive a year ago compared to the competition, but I think they are overdue for a new flagship handset. One with 1080 x 1920 pixels, 4.7+ inch screen, a quad-core processor, etc.

Nokia needs to make Android phones with 1080p screens and snapdragon 800. Then maybe one person will give a damn about what they do.

I'm tired of hearing about their great camera. Don't they get it? This is not the key selling feature to make people switch back to Nokia.

I totally love my lumia 920 and I'm proud of the Lumia's low light camera performance... But are you kidding me? Dude! It has been so redundant that I hear ads about this every other day O.O. I mean yes the lumia is very impressive when it's in low light but these things are kinda getting annoying... Sorry Nokia xD

Lumia 928 ad talks up the phone's "better than iPhone, better than Galaxy" low-light camera performance. ok agreed... galaxy and iphone can now brag about everything else a phone can do except the camera... coz lumia - it's camera = 0

Of course we will expect that Nokia lumia will win because its their commercial. Just like the Samsung and apple commercials which their products always win. It's a matter of marketing.

Note to Phonearena: Sponsored posts (ads disguised as articles) are a really bad idea which compromises your appearance of integrity. Seriously, I am considering dropping my traffic to this site because of this bull.

I really don't see what the big deal is I don't shop for a cellphone based on it's ability to take low light pictures. As a matter of fact I have never had a problem with any pictures that I have taken with my phone. I look at things like processor, design, screen size, screen ppi and performance when shop for a phone and I must say that I am extremely happy with my Samsung Galaxy S4. I have had a couple of windows phones before and well let's just say I will never throw away my money like that again. But if that is what you like, hey that's great for you.
