Leaked specs confirm Samsung Galaxy View 2 for AT&T is a mid-tier Android tablet

It appears that Samsung and AT&T have decided to give the Galaxy View tablet another go. Six months ago we've learned that the South Korean company plans to launch a Galaxy View sequel, a massive Android tablet with mid-range specs.

Now we're certain that the Galaxy View 2 will make it to AT&T in the coming months since the tablet is already being tested online. Unfortunately, there are some bad news as well if we are to believe the latest leak.

Apparently, the Galaxy View 2 runs Android 8.1 Oreo, although we were expecting Samsung to up the stakes a bit and put Android 9 Pie on the tablet. The good news is this isn't a retail version, so Samsung may eventually decide to ship the Galaxy View 2 with Android Pie on board.

Another piece of information we've managed to uncover is the fact that the slab will be equipped by a Samsung Exynos 7885 processor, an upper mid-range processor that powers smartphones like Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018). It's also the same CPU that's supposed to be used in a couple of Galaxy M series phones, which will be unveiled at some point this year.

Samsung Galaxy View 2 will come with a higher amount of memory than the predecessor model – 3GB RAM, but we have yet to learn how much storage it will pack. As far as the display goes, it will surely be a large one since the original model has a massive 18.4-inch screen.

It's quite possible that Samsung and AT&T will introduce the Galaxy View 2 as early as February, although the previous model made it to market in the last part of the year rather than the beginning.
