Leaked photos showcase HTC's upcoming hero phone, the 10 (M10?)

This is a HTC smartphone, alright, sporting a chiseled metal body, an arched back, and an overall shape and contour reminiscent of the company's flagship M8 and M9 phones...

Looks good! I really hope that it has IP68 and that they use a Sony sensor this time. I'm also glad to see that they got rid of those annoying on-screen buttons.

Yes the back looks pretty good :) The lack of stereo speakers make me sad though :(

WTF is wrong with HTC.. Seriously is there a need for an on screen home button when most manufacturers are going away from them... Looks like a Samsung too.. Does HTC expect to sell more phones because it looks like a Galaxy phone? I just don't get it. HTC won't be getting my money

Alright, this looks way better than what I thought was coming. Seeings as how how it'll look even better once finalized like every phone does against their prototypes, I think this is more beautiful than the S7. I plan on using headphones/BT headset anyways, so no big loss for no BoomSound. Centered USB, type-C, AMOLED, capacitive buttons, and curved back? W00T!

Wait, apparently OnLeaks just posted that BoomSound is in fact in the HTC 10. I think that's why the earpiece is so big; it, along with the bottom speaker, act as stereo speakers. HTC 10 with BoomSound after all...?

The HTC A9 has BoomSound too, and it's in the same position as the M10.

The boomsound is only triggered once you plug the headphones, it has no effect what so ever on the built in speaker.

The same leak was said about the galaxy s7 having a larger earpiece by 40% in order to incorporate a speaker like back in the old days I miss nextel

It uses the IMX377 or IMX378(This is listed in documents, looks like the IMX377 just with OIS see second page -http://kantatsu.co.jp/product/docs/151124%20lens%20list.pdf) So as long as HTC get processing right, they've showed clear improvement with the A9, it should be ace with OIS, PDAF and Laser Auto focus

only from the back is this design unique ,from the front looks unacceptable to me exactly as LG G5 , those are the ugliest phones this year ,as far as design goes .

It's ugly. You don't have to be a fan of anyone to see that. It's absolutely ugly.

What someone find ugly other can find beautiful. Beauty is a question of point of view.

The phone design is ugly, the front is iphone+ samsung button, and the chamfered edges at the back is just screaming "scratches!!!!" out loud.

I just don't like those humongous chamfered edges, they look way too off for my taste. And since they got rid of the front firing speakers, I don't see why they didn't improve on the very low screen to body ratio HTC phones has been known for, this was their chance to deliver a compact flagship with tint bezels.

onleaks said boomsound is in fact there

He's referring to front facing boom sound speakers.

Boomsound will be included but its not as good as botom speaker will fire downward and earpiece is the second speaker... So you have a point there... I personaly love those edges :) but thats a question of taste. Body to screen ratio for me is not important in fact i prefere some bigger bezel to protect the screen from side impact :) But yeah could been better but still the most interesting of the new flagship for me this year... if its can adopt a sd card as internal memory ( where LG and samsung failed to let the option there at least manually )

I am pretty sure it will be available on the m10, because they didn't take it off the A9. I am okay with everything, I can ignore the bezels just like I did with the A9, but I am not liking those huge chamfered edges

What the hell are you talking about?? This looks awesome!!!

I see they stayed true to the A9 design, but with a lot more chamfered edges.

A9 and M7 made love and created the HTC 10

Looks pretty good, if they offer a 5.5+ version then I will pick one up!

That actually doesn't look half-bad. HTC finally figured out how to center the USB port. Not sure if I like the chamfered edges on the back though. Weird how HTC pretty much initiated the stereo-speaker craze (to the point where Boomsound was really their defining feature) but then suddenly pulled back...
