Leaked Sony Xperia Z4 chassis suggests an even thinner device without a microSD slot

Back in November, we were tipped with a bunch of snaps supposedly showing us the LCD touch digitizer (images below) of the still mysterious Xperia Z4, which Sony has obviously pushed back, going against its policy of biannual flagship releases. Ever since then, we've been keeping track of the source that produced the meaty images, FutureSupplier, and our patience and persistence seems to have paid off, for we're now treated to a bunch of photos apparently showing us the Xperia Z4's chassis...

Z4 is gonna be a looker but if uts really powered by a S810, such thinness = terrible throttling. The Z3 already couldn't play Vice City for half an hour without getting heated up... I'd hate to imagine how the S810 is gonna handle it.

SD810 heats up less than 801. Besides - all processors have thermal throttling.

:/ And people are supporting this, knowing the price increments for greater storage will be outrageously steep.

See, that's my issue. They usually want like 10x the cost for internal storage upgrades over that of the mSD counterparts. That I am far from cool with. It's bad enough these things cost 599-650 off contract, when they should be no more than about 4-450. But that's forgivable. But I won't pay these asinine prices for tiny amounts of memory.

Lack of sd card support might indicate faster flash storage. Hmm.. Exynos 7420 perhaps?

Samsung won't sell their newest product for their direct competitor. They also need to meet high demand from their own devices.

Please keep the sd card. I have a lot of song and video in my 64gb sd card (im using 16GB Z3 Compact). Unless the cheapest model are using 128GB (which is impossible) they better keep it. I dont mind if it make the phone bit thicker.

what the f ckk is wrong with the SD cards slot! danmit! leave it alone! -_- its an easy way to port things from one device to another... for me is faster using my micro sd card directly in the computer than using the usb port on the cellphone... and transfering all the photos songs etc etc from an old device to the new one.. >_>.... my opinion tho...

f**k! PA really hates Sony! The Z4 tablet and M4 Aqua both have capless usb port and yet they are waterproof and both nano sim cards and micro SD card can be located under one flap (since it is longer than on the Z3). If Samsung are unable to make a waterproof phone using the same material and design as on all Xperia Z series, that doesn't mean Sony can't do it.

The only thing that gonna miss on Xperia Z4 will be fingerprint sensor, everything else is great, design is very similar to iphone 6 and galaxy s6, camera and battery will be far better and spspecification almost the same as competitio...

Thick bezels? Are you nuts? They're smaller than the ones in the S6, M9 or iP6!

Still no IR Blaster and now they're removing micro sd! They want to help HTC sell phones? So it's basically like a thinner Sony Z2!

This leak sounds fishy to me.

Leaky Sony Xperia Z4 comments suggest an even thicker readership without a microSodding clue

Z4 body doesn't have to be thinner, but I want to see thinner top and bottom bezels than Z3

What's the validity of this leak? Phonarena often posts fales info. I think Sony won't ditch micro SD slot

How can I have At&T or Verizon reception without micro SD? Anyways, I don't trust Phonearena's leak that much

i totaly agree wv u guys but, however sony should really have a fast charging for z4 just like the edge, as wel as he micro slot water proofing to even deeper depths. Plus excellent camra say about 40 MP LOL PLUS huge battery power, along with even faster processer and powerfull to withstand the 4K VIDEOS, ups yeah i forgot to mention millitary night vision built in, i currently have z3 and what a phone it is. .

Will the Xperia Z4 have 32 internal storage and SD Card ? It needs both. Will the Z4 Compact have a radio ? I don't want to lose this feature

Sony will come up with some new things for Z4, instead of micro SD slot. I don't think Sony would ditch "expandable" features

No micro SD slot? No problem for me, but I don't trust Phonearena's leak information.

How can I use it on at&t without micro SD?
