Leaked OnePlus 7 renders show stunning new red colors
OnePlus smartphones are typically sold in just two to three colors, but over the years the Chinese brand has produced a range of limited-edition models. This year, the company is betting primarily on Mirror Grey, Nebula Blue, and Almond for the OnePlus 7 series. But as it turns out, OnePlus once again has a limited-edition finish up its sleeves.

As revealed by tipster Ishan Agarwal just hours before today’s event, OnePlus is preparing a red version of the regular OnePlus 7 that’ll be available in just a handful of markets. Just like the standard model, the red variant is expected to carry Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 paired with Android 9 Pie straight out of the box and a 3,700mAh battery complete with Warp Charge fast charging tech.

Usually, limited-edition OnePlus smartphones also feature more impressive storage configurations than the standard versions. This would suggest that the red OnePlus 7 will ship with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage rather than just 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Accompanying these internal specs should be a 6.4-inch AMOLED display paired with a small notch and a chin. As visible in the leaked renders, the red OnePlus 7 will also carry two rear cameras including a 48-megapixel primary snapper and a dedicated depth sensor. According to leaked information, the main camera will support Quad Pixel technology, thus allowing it to combine 4 pixels into 1 and create a 12-megapixel photo that offers more detail.

The OnePlus 7 will be announced later today alongside the OnePlus 7 Pro at an event being held simultaneously in many cities including New York City and London. Regarding its pricing, the smartphone is expected to retail at £499 for the 6/128GB model and £549 for the 8/256GB model in the UK. This would suggest that over in the US the smartphone will retail at $549 and $579 respectively.
