It's not just some simple port of the mobile web friendly version of the site, but rather, it's fine tuned to clearly separate it from the pack. Now the latest update to the popular app now enables users to watch videos directly on their iPhone – which can be seen as something big for some people out there. Additionally, there are some bug fixes tacked on for good measure make the download a worthwhile one. Now that video playback directly from the app is on board, we're sure that we'll be seeing more users glued to their screens now more than ever.

Why does the Android version blow compared to this one? Facebook Android needs to step their game up!

Agreed. Big time. They don't really even notify you when you have new notifications. What sucks worse is you get transfered to the mobile version on the web browser when you want to move through the notifications page. I hate it. I don't really even use the app anymore.

It's not just the Android version that sucks. Every version available for every platform that isn't iPhone OS sucks. Is it really that difficult to for developers to create an application that does what the iPhone one can?

Agreed, it was equally bad on my Blackberry as it is on my Incredible now. They are identical. Its best to just access the web version for either of these phones.
