same here. the iphone doesnt have an edge over the competition. They should make more UI changes and more integration services within the phone but i do like how they implemented the drop down notification bar just like how android does.

Oh, well I do. Trading in my Evo as soon as it gets off of the truck at Sprint. And I also give a s**t about Jobs. He has pancreatic cancer (which can't be cured), and you wouldn't have your famous 1 out of 1,000,000,000 Android phone if it wasn't for him. Show a little respect to the person who made the smartphone, even if you can't stand what he made. Get over it.

Hey idiot, Steve Jobs didn't create the smartphone. Palm did, that's why they own a patent for it.

Hey, palm doesn't even count as a smartphone. Good job.

Do some research, Palm in fact does hold the original patent for the smartphone. Look it up.

Ok you are a f**king retard. I said MADE, like he made the smartphone better. NOT INVENT. DUMBASS.

Perhaps you should work on your grasp of the English language and try making your points clearer. I'll help you out, try "He improved the smartphone", or "He revolutionized the smartphone", or, sticking with your original wording, "He made the smartphone better" or "He made the smartphone what it is today".

I don't know what's going on in that brain of yours, but don't assume that everyone else is going to understand what you mean if you don't explain it clearly.

I don't understand why people keep saying that without Apple android wouldn't exist. That's completely untrue. Maybe it wouldn't have existed at the time that it came out, but all of these mobile OS's would have eventually been created. No matter who did it first. It's like saying that if Henry Ford never invented the car then there wouldn't be any cars today. It's just dumb.

Oh and here's a fun fact for you Steve Jobs enthusiasts. When Steve and Steve W partnered up and started Apple, Jobs did absolutely nothing besides attempt to market the products. Steve W did everything for the company. So everything Apple has today is thanks to Steve W, not Jobs. Do some research and you'll see.

I was at an Apple store checking out a 15" MacBook Pro with Quadcore i7 CPU and the conversation moved to when iOS 5 was going to be released. October 8th to 10th was the time that I was given. Based on October 8th to 10th for iOS 5, the iPhone would be expected a week later, given recent past experience mentioned in the article.

iOS 5? You must be mistaken, dear editor. iOS 4.5 is more like it, feature-wise.

11. Dj21o

There are over 250+ new features in IOS5. Even people with one arm can use multi touch on this phone. Its nowhere near a "4.5" as you put it.

12. ilia1986 unregistered

And yet: No widgets. No live wallpapers No further user customization. You might say that these features are unimportant. I don't care. They EXIST on the leading (market-share wise) smartphone OS in the world right now: Android. Ever since 2009. That's what matters. Not the number of new features - but how they compare to existing features on other platforms - when the "other platforms" is Android mostly - which has the largest market-share among all of the smartphone OSs.

its so funny that you fandroids completely lack understanding of apple's design principles. live wallpapers and widgets run constantly. they suck battery life and use processing power. its not much, but apple has made efficiency of both of those things a priority.
