Larger battery coming to Apple iPhone 7 Plus along with 256GB of internal storage?

Slowly, rumors about the Apple iPhone 7 and the Apple iPhone 7 Plus are beginning to help us piece together the various features that will be available on the device. So far, we expect the next iteration of the iPhone to offer some sort of protection from water, and we also expect the 3.5mm earphone jack to be removed. An accessory for the Lightning port will offer a solution for those who want privacy while listening to audio...

What type of cars use 4 cylinder engines? Guess what a motorcycle with a 4 cylinder engine is faster from 0-60 then many cars that have a V-12, so what. Again that motorcycle is only carrying it's own weight and the weight of the rider. You can't carry much.else. Even though a motorcycle is faster, it has drawbacks. for the driver. Can't travel as far either. Can't carry much weight and burns far more gas. So what exactly are you comparing? Considering the iPhone isn't lifting what Android phones are. Would you compare a motorcycle to a car? The car itself weights 4 times or more than a motorcycle. Again the bike has no heavy lifting. Again consider what Android phones are pushing like a car with a V12. The S6 for example, pushing a bigger engine, the display has 2M+ morempoxels, more ram to push, full multitasking, more features and in most videos I've seen, we'll the honey videos; the iPhone only wind mere milliseconds. I find it so.funny how you guys constantly compare how fast the iPhone is to an Android. Guess what fool, if you take 2 shopping carts and let them go.down a hill, the one fill with food will be a bit slower. Duh. But nice fail to how comparing a phone that does nothing to one that does a lot is really an argument. For me I am not impressed by speed. A few milliseconds isn't going to change my life. I bought a Note for its capabilities. Considering how with does its as fast and make your cases faster than an iPhone is awesome. But again speed isn't why I bought it. I bought it because for the price of an iPhone I get more. You can brag all you want about your device that does less all you want. To me it just makes you look stupid The Note starts at 699. That is $50 more than the base iPhone. For that $50, I get a better display, more ram, more features like a pen, bigger screen, better audio, better video, better everything, at the sacrifice of a bit of agility. Snall.price tomcat considering out the box I can list 50 things your iPhone can't do. Oh and let me say this. The iPhone is a great device we all know that. My argument will never change though. I can buy an android with identical benefits as an iPhone is I wanted too, and it won't costs me more than $450 to start. So what are you getting for an extra $200? Nothing Even a. $400 Android more out the box. Just remember this fact. It's not better because it costs more, just costs more money when it breaks.

Problem is this, iphones are not motorcycles, and androids are not all the same. Meaning one android might be a truck (like a CAT android which is designed for rugged use) or more like a sports car...s6, more like a touring car HTC. Also for your car analogy you realized that a turbo 4 banger can wipe the floor of a v-12 Ferrari for less, and probably carry more groceries too...wont be pretty but hey it will and can be done, depending on the metrics, then you went on some rant about motorcycles and v-12 etc. Dude stick with one off the wall analogy and go with that, don't introduce 30 different ones. Also as a car guy, I can almost predict that any car argument you use going forward with me, will end up with you loosing. In which you are so hard in defending is, why and for what. Your argument is about as valid as me saying... Well, instead of spending 780 bucks on a 64gb note 5, why don't I spend 700 on a 64gb I3 Surface Pro 3 instead? pay a cheaper data only plan and pay like 10bucks a year to have Skype number instead. Saving more money, being more productive, on a Full OS that can do EVERYTHING your device can and MORE, LOTS MORE. But then again I would have to justify walking around with a 12in pc as a phone. Or I could spend like 30 bucks on a piss 435 phone, still have more money left over with a surface pro 3, have a phone and tablet, and be on my way? Well that doesn't solve the two device vs one problem does it. Point is, the iPhone is very capable, sad this is, I don't own an iphone, I own an android (plenty of them have to because of my job) and I use a windows phone as a daily driver, 1520. Actually because you made some boneheaded comment about shopping carts...uhh what?...that the one with food will be heavier and most likely go faster simply due to gravity. Notice the word most likely. For many people the things an iphone does is worth the 50bucks. Lets qualify some things though because you are not quantifying ANYTHING. Lets see this list of 50things you do daily that an iphone user is in the darkages without...i'll wait while you justify it.

This iPhone 7 from the get go is gonna be hella expensive. I can see apple doing 64/128/256GB SKUs or at least starting with 32, with the base model being at least 1.5x more expensive than it initially was on launch. But its good Apple is increasing their battery, as new battery tech is coming along.

The i6s+/i6+ bezel is huge and crazy for one hand use, apple need to do something about that before increase screen size.

I don't know who can fill up 128gb of storage. 256gb is insane for a phone, they should focus on making the base 32gb. Bump the ram to 3 so we can enjoy some split screen on the plus models. An iPhone with the spec above would be good enough for 4yrs. Lol

My 128GB is 90% full. I hope they ditch the 16GB, it's useless.

What do you store on your phone to use that much space?

Mine is more on games, movies, anime's and manga. I can fill up that 256GB in no time.

How is it useless, to people like you and me, of cause to people like my brother.. who only uses the phone for calls and texting.. its perfect.

azemesmail, do you have that issue with 128GB iPhones that was lingering a while back where it caused crashes or slowing down? Just curious - because from the news I read - no one I know (only 2 people that have 128GB) actually experienced the problem since then... and if you did have that problem - did apple replace the device for you? or did an update fix it?

256GB isn't insane when you remember about 4K videos

I have a hard time believing that they would make a 256gb model when the base model is still 16gb

24. g2a5b0e unregistered

I agree. This is probably a bunk rumor. The only possible change I can see them making is dumping the 16GB version in lieu of a 32GB. The earliest we will see a 256GB iPhone is the iPhone 8 in 2018.

I dont know if it's something necessary for the masses... My internal hard drive on the PC is 256GB (yeah I know, I know... but I keep my personal stuff on a Raid1 dual backup...) But it would be extremely comical if they kept the 16GB base model, then for the extra $100 give you 128GB (like verizon is doing now) and another $100 gets you 256GB... LOL oh wait.. and offer the 8GB version in India or something...

dont worry, they'll make some ugly battery case especially for iP7

114. AlikMalix unregistered

Well they have a smaller battery on the 6s vs 6 and 6s outperforms the 6 by quite a lot...! So if that happens, i'm not worried!

What kind of buls**t do you eat for breakfast? Apples battery size is pathetic so is your argumant Mr excuse man. Insider?

172. AlikMalix unregistered

iPhone 6s battery lasts longer than iPhone 6... What's so difficult to understand? And in case you misread and thought I was talking about Samsung s6 - I'm still right - since iPhone 6s beats Galaxy s6 and s6edge. Even thought the battery is smaller on 6s than on iPhone 6.
