LG shames Samsung over exploding Galaxy Note 7 phones

LG smartphone users living in India started to receive messages on their phones that mock Samsung. Here is the message that many Indian customers received in the last couple of days: “Heard the news of exploding products? At LG, our products go through multiple tests to ensure safety of our most valuable asset - YOU. Have a safe Diwali with LG...

LG blew it with the G5 so they have literally no say in anything. Your G5 and V20 might not explode, but they are both ugly as sin devices. Never seen an uglier dual camera set up. I'll stick with my S6 Edge+ and 7 Plus which has a gorgeous camera setups, and are not ugly.

I have to disagree about the V20. They actually did a great job with it and wasn't another failure like the previous G phones were. Shamesung should be ashamed of themselves.

For once I agree with you. Sadly the V20 will most likely suffer lackluster sales despite being a great phone, many people are too blinded by the Apple or Samsung logo.

I saw some argument from some like: A: "What? Samsung exploded? I will never buy it anymore and I will switch to iPhone." B: "Why don't just buy other brands like Huawei ,Sony or LG?" A: "Huh? Huawei, Sony and LG got phones?" B: "People's brain nowadays......" *facepalm They only know Samsung and Apple...

Maybe that's because they don't care about phones all that much. Calling people stupid for not knowing about some Asian OEM is ridiculous when you look at it objectively. You don't know what you don't know. Ex: I ask you to recall certain aspects of the Mayan civilization and you can't answer. Does that make you stupid? Of course not. So don't facepalm at their lack of knowledge about something as nominal as smartphone brands.

Samsung deserves this if the exploded Note 7 unit today was proven to be from the latest batch. I ll be replacing mine as soon as I get to Vegas, and I am almost certain I ll be parting ways with Samsung until the S8 gets released. Till then, I ll either go with the P9 Plus or the 10. There are no excuses for Samsung to have their new replaced units explode after all the promises they gave to us, their costumers.

I hope the Note8 will be a proper flat screen Note, like all of it's previous version. I skipped the ugly Note7, due to being a S7 Edge design. Curved screen, no thanks. Just want a pure flat screen and flat rear and side to be flat.

Oh boy... This isn't happening. US gov probably will have ban the Note 7 in coming days and they'll do so if they had to. Probably they'll halt all Samsung phone sales until they sort out this problem. This is not good for Samsung, at all. Quality assurance is proven to be a big part in hardware manufacturing.
