LG making a Windows Phone 8 handset?

Korean manufacturer LG is about to be the next major smartphone producer to offer a Windows Phone model; a published report out of India says that while the phone is under development, there is no guarantee that the Korean manufacturer is going to go ahead and launch the model. Kwon Soon, LG India’s managing director, said, "At home (South Korea), we are actually working on our Windows Phone 8 OS powered smartphone"...

You and your root-happy friends are a minority. In just about every country that is not USA, the price is not subsidized... 'keeping LG afloat'? They're hardly making a profit if at all with selling hardware like that at a low price. Just because you like the phone doesn't mean it's the only thing that matters. Way to be narrow-minded.

Problem with LG is that they make a phone and then completely forget everything about it.

LG is the 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer? GTFO. They're 5th in the U.S. & even lower worldwide. Don't go spouting nonsense without being able to back up your claims. http://www.comscore.com/Insights/Press_Releases/2013/6/comScore_Reports_April_2013_U.S._Smartphone_Subscriber_Market_Share

It's just like Jellybean 4.2.2. But way restricted! Makes no different. Credo! Android is same as Wp8, but its way "Advanced" then any platform out there. It has reached to its full maturity. While ios, Wp8 have a very long way to catch up. So why the hell would any one wants to go back 4 years back in time, when Android is giving you every options to do what ever you please to. I mean you can write command scripts, how and which platform will give you this opportunity! ®

ok I agree to some extent, but there are things that do bother me that are available on IOS and WP8 the fact that if you record a 30 sec or more video at 1080p you can share it on the fly with your friends, while on android you get the "Exceeds maximum file size limit" message and you have to find a third party app to compress it to share it or uploade it to youtube, and I think that is something they should have fixed a long time ago.

Unfortunately, Android has a master key that has recently been discovered, which could potentially allow any Android device to be hacked. The OS is not secure, and that alone suggests that iOS, WP8, and BB-10 have something to offer that Android cannot: peace of mind (aka genuine online security!)

Lmao. Android is selling well for: Sony Lg Htc Samsung Huawei Zte! Wp8 is not selling that well, and we all no why...? Not because of Nokia! They can't rely on Nokia which has its own challenges of rebuilding its brand, to do it for them. ®

Nooooo LG don't focus on your Optimus line....its actually a really good line up.....besides there is basically no worthwhile profit in WP8 at this time
