LG V35 Signature Edition reportedly coming soon with outlandish price point
LG may have indirectly admitted yesterday its flagship smartphone release strategy is somewhat flawed, pointing the finger at “increased marketing investments” for another losing quarter in the mobile industry, but that still doesn’t mean the company is done launching high-end handsets this year.

In addition to the oft-rumored V40 ThinQ, a V35 Signature Edition is also reportedly in the pipeline, although the latter ultra-premium model might not require a very aggressive advertising campaign. That’s because we fully expect it to only go on sale in Korea in extremely limited numbers.

We’re likely talking a few hundred units, at least based on the first-ever LG Signature Edition phone. Closely related to the V30, that overpriced zirconium ceramic beaut was merely sold in 300 copies back in December, all of which were swiftly pre-ordered by “high-income earners and signature enthusiasts.”

As the name suggests, the LG V35 Signature Edition should borrow most of its key specs from the “regular” V35 ThinQ, including a beautiful 2:1 6-inch OLED screen, powerful Snapdragon 845 processor, and AI-enhanced dual rear-facing cameras.

Obviously, in order to justify a price point of around 2 million Korean won, equating to almost $1,800, the exclusivist phone is expected to upgrade a couple of standard V35 features, starting with hefty 256GB internal storage. The already sleek design is likely to get some sort of a luxury makeover, competing against the Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS or Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition. LG is reportedly aiming for an August release, but something tells us this isn’t going to show up at IFA Berlin or anywhere else in the Western Hemisphere.
