South Korea exclusive LG V30 Plus to be unveiled alongside the LG V30 on August 31

0. phoneArena posted on 11 Aug 2017, 08:32

LG V30 is becoming official on August 31, just a day before IFA 2017 at Berlin kicks off, that's already old news at this point. We also do know a ton of stuff about the device, so much that we actually have a few preliminary size comparisons with other unreleased devices. What can we say – there are tons of leaks and we are rather good with Photoshop...

Prices on these phones is getting ridiculous. I’m seriously thinking of skipping on this years new phones. I don’t want to spend 1/6 of my monthly income on a phone. I might just keep my iPhone 7 Plus and my Nexus 6P they will still compete with any phone coming out this year or next.

1/6 of your monthly income? Looks like Derek Jeter has come upon hard times.

Well, 5K-6K a month isn't that much really.... That would equate to 60-72K a year

I only make $73k a year. Spending $1000 on a phone is getting tougher every year. My 7 plus is the 256gb, and the only reason I got it was because I won a $250 Apple gift card at work. So instead of spending $1000 on the 256gb 7 plus, I bought it for $750. My 6p I bought for $400.

just wait for the Huawei Mate 10 , Huawei are taking this phone as a challenge and i think they will throw every thing they have into that phone

I'm tired of different versions of the same phone. Why can't everyone have all the options?

Please stop with that s**t!!! We were promise that LG V30 would have wireless charging everywhere! I can accept difference between those two devices only in the ram and battery.

Take this design and give it S-Pen. Call it the Note8. Now we're talking. Finger scanner in center too. Whew doggie.

Basically Lg should just put new upgraded Quad DAC and wireless charging in regular V30 while V30 Plus get a truly special DAC/B&O tuning/B&O headphone and Fast wireless charging to justify that price difference.

But if they're just cut off DAC and wireless charging on regular V30 to add it into Plus model then they will surely DEAD!

I second that, brah!

If LG does that to the regular V30, I'll sure be ditching it.

To me doing these plus models are too much. The V line is already like a plus line of the G line. Tom e it would be better if they just released the V30 with a 64GB and 128GB model, but with the same audio specs. I mean people have already gotten used to 1 V model, changing that up this late in the game, wouldn't be the smartest, especially when the V line has went up to $770 (with the V20).

+1

I think lately LG have a tendency to cut specific software/hardware out of their top shelf phone only to put it back on another so called "Plus" model.

To me, they won't have much chance left if they're keep doing this kind of things again and again.

If LG does this, it will flop. I didn't think LG wanted to be as stupid as Motorola with their smartphone choices. The audio experience of the V line is one of its main selling points, it would make no sense to push that off to a Plus model, which in itself will probably only be released overseas like the LG G6 Plus. LG finally made stable ground with the LG G6, a solid Android high-end ish flagship smartphone, then dirtied up their positive name and disgruntled loyal LG supporters with the Plus iteration of the G6. LG's supporters are hardcore techies, if they do this, it will be nail in the coffin for them. LG please don't be stupid.

When will companies learn, Samsung and Apple are winning because they don't compromise key features thus becoming the "safe bet" phones.

Who so ever is making these decisions on specs according to region..should be fired! Premium Audios is the V line signiture. Come on LG dont push away your loyal supporters. I skipped the G6 to wait for the v30 for the audio capabilities.and now this! Hope this is all rumors.

LG had the right business model with the V10. Im still using mine no problems. It has every feature except water resistance which i think is a niche and unnecessary. After V10 they phucked it all up with G5 and so forth.

If I didn't know any better I'd say that Eidolons have taken control of the LG board, who brings this stupid ideas of region specific specs? What do they hope to achieve with that, and they also removed the secondary screen.

Thiss phone is DOA again, just like the G6 and their retarded decision to make different phone features for different markets. Which idiot is in charge of this?
