LG G6 vs iPhone 7 vs Galaxy S7 vs Google Pixel vs Huawei P10: performance benchmarks comparison

LG claims that using the Snapdragon 821 with some optimizations as the system chip for the LG G6 is a 'brilliant move', despite the fact that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8, for instance, is expected to ship with a chip that will be newer and more powerful, the Snapdragon 835...

This is not the final G6 wtf with you iphonearena.. The Final G6 will come with android nougat and good sftware optimisation. This is not the final G6 you can't do a benchmark test on it

Just look at whatever the Google Pixel gets and lower the score a tiny bit, Pixel uses same S821 as G6, but G6 is running higher resolution then the 1080p Pixel(not Pixel XL)

IPhone is a app launcher at best so it should win every benchmark comparison! We all know androids have way more 1's and 0's to move skewing benchmark scores in favor of the Apple product. With that being said I enjoy both platforms and am looking forward to the iPhone 8/X as well as the S8, Note 8, V30 etc... G6 already dropped the ball with it's fragmented regional release debacle.

No... just, No. Android is much more than an App launcher, unlike iOD. The facts have been stated here uncountable number of times already.

** Unlike iOS** Anyway, you most likely are aware of that, already... no?

What are most Android phones used to do? (Launch apps) What else can they do besides launch apps? (Ummmm......launch more complicated apps, maybe?) :/

Androids - Daydream, Gear VR. Moto Mods, S-pen... IOS - Snapchat filters, Instagram, Facebook fonts... I can just do more and enjoy more on my android than my iphone...

A) No one over the age of thirty gives one s**t about VR. I'm not even thirty, and I give just about zero f**ks about it's existence. I own a Vive and PSVR....Still don't see the hype around the stuff. Especially crappy phone VR lol. B) All of that you listed under Android offers nothing towards practical usage, at all. You have to buy "accessories" for all of that stuff, not something normal people want to do. C) All of the things you listed under iOS are both practical AND ordinary amongst the populous. Over 1 billion people uses Facebook daily. Over 400 million Instagram accounts exist. And Snapchat on iOS is MILES better than its Android counterpart. You are literally making my points for me now. D) That's anecdotal analysis. I'd imagine the majority of people within the Apple price bracket would see the Daydream VR crap as "gimmicky" as I do. And I own several Android devices.... Imagine showing Snapchat on Android to a non-Android user. If I hadn't know some of the cool s**t Android phones offer, I would never have touched it having seen how awful the apps can be. Even Google's apps are better on iOS for Godsakes.

It's all facts... If it doesn't appeal to you because you are 30 then so be it but facts are facts. You can do more and it takes more to run an android than a iphone... I'm glad that social media sights excite you and that's mostly all the iphones do but others want more out of their device and others don't. There's nothing wrong with that. When I want to have a simple experience I choose to use my iphone, but when I want to do more and enjoy other things other than checking out the new snapchat filters I choose my android... Which is why benchmarks will always favor IOS...

Can you tell me something worth mentioning that your android can do and the iPhone can't? I can tell you cool things I can do with the iPhone and are very demanding in comparison to the regular use of any average user, for example checking and editing autocad files which is useful for me as an engineer, I find it quite impressive the smoothness of the iPhone in comparison to the windows powered computer I use to make the drawings, I can also take pics on site and edit then like sketch notes which is useful for my job, I can also view and edit Microsoft office files, PDF, etc, it's like a mini computer on my hand that performs extremely fine, and bedsides I get the best app optimization out there, the exclusives when a new app is released, games perform better than they do on android, so I find it intriguing when there's people saying (pretending like they are grownups and wiser users while iPhone users are just teenagers according to them) they can do this and that with their androids but the iPhone can't, I'm very demanding with my devices that's why I choose the iPhone, I'm not throwing my money experimenting with devices not well optimized and with a subpar performance like the money was given to me for free, no sir

Androids have been able to edit pdf's take pic's and edit docs etc for a while... Nothing new there... The autocad file editing sounds cool and I'm glad you enlightened us on that. I never said anything about iphone users being teenagers or iphone users having no lives because I'm a iphone user myself... I just know that androids do more than the iphones when it comes to VR, pen manipulation, add-on's etc...

I'm 48 and I give a s**t about VR. I've puichased Oculus' own VR unit and I have a Geat VR. Overall the concept is appealing, its just on mobile the dream hasn't been fully realized. But it has to start somewhere. Seeing as I received both VR units free and it didn't cost me anything, I would say I would be disapponited if I had paid for them. But at least I got to try it. All I can say is, its a segment that may not have a huge demand, but it will when theer is something worth bringing to the table. Samsung promoting the Gear VR via Six Flags and riding a coaster with them on is a very cool way to enjoy the VR experience. When I did it over the summer, it is amazing how good it can be. Maybe you don't care about VR. But you have no idea what age group would be interested. In fact I would say, anyone who grew up in the 80's and early 90's would be interested. The new kids born after 95, may not be. If you love the boring iPhone and don't find Android appealing, what is the point of constantly talking about it? The difference obviously don't matter to you. But you're such a loser, that you constantly choose to compare the two. Why? Are you board? Go sit in your mama's lap and chill. Basally people with iPhone's have no life. All they do is snap chat, Facebook and launch apps. BORING. Its nice to be able to do things with a phone other than launch apps. Just like how idiots criticized the Xbox One because it plays more than games. More for the money is good. even if you don't see it that way!

'Maybe you don't care about VR. But you have no idea what age group would be interested" That's pretty much what I thought as well... @TechieXP Claiming that no one above 30 years of age is interested in VR, with apparently no stats to back it up, does indeed make such a claim appear to have been pulled outta his a**, just for the crap of it. This is ridiculous.

But his claim that people who use iOS " have no lives" isn't being fact checked? My, how incredibly, conscientiously, misdirective you are. The point was, most people aren't strapping phones to their faces.

"A) No one over the age of thirty gives one s**t about VR. I'm not even thirty, and I give just about zero f**ks about it's existence" That's fine you don't, but don't say no one does just because you don't like it. I am betting there are a lot of people over 30 that like it.

I THINK SD 835 will put apple's in shame I expect one plus 4 and pixel 2 they will be a SUPERB DEVICES everything depends on of the perfomance of ufs 2.1 and in the hardware deparmebt that apple finally get rid of many useless features and they finally implementing a specific thread to render UI to get rid of lag or just improve zram to handle more app in memory in the games is a little what they can do

This is why I don't trust PA benchmarks. They are super unreliable. Look at the GFXBench manhattan results. They are impossible to achieve on an 821. The worst thing is that PA didn't even try to double check the results by running it again. There was probably an app update or something going on in the background which screwed the result. And this is the millionth time I'm noticing this. There were benchmarks where the S6 edge was beating the regular S6 by more than 2x. Are you kidding me! I know PA isn't the nerdiest source. But at least try to be a little reliable.

iPhonearena always is biased to the Apple's side even in camera comparisons never give credits to Android devices

Looks like their GFXBench Manhattan is the older 3.0 benchmark, not 3.1.1 or 3.1 GFXBench Manhattan 3.0 onscreen median scores from GFXBench.com are: iPhone 7 = 60 fps iPhone 7 Plus = 52 and 46 fps (not sure why there's 2 entries for the 7 Plus) Pixel = 46 fps P10 = 43 fps S7 = 28 fps Their P10 result is totally off Maybe PA tested a P10 Plus (1440p) instead of a P10 (1080p)

27. Tyrion_Lannister unregistered

My point still stands that PA doesn't know how to benchmark. Also you shouldn't use on screen benchmarks to measure performance of the SoC.

That's also why I do not buy any of PA's benchmarks... be it SoC or battery life.

Agreed, PA is one of the worst sources for technical details

The one with 52 fps is done in metal, and the 46 fps is OpenGL. Expect the same for androids when GFXBench starts supporting vulkan. Was lazy to see it yesterday but got intrigued today.

Will be interesting to see Vulkan benchmarks They are going to release GFXBench 5 Aztec Ruins this year, its designed specifically with Vulkan/Metal in mind and has a VR mode
