LG G6 teaser says that the upcoming flagship will be reliable

The LG G6 has a huge burden. After the LG G5's failed attempt at offering modular accessories (and the subsequent success of the Moto Z's modular build), the new flagship needs to present something that will make consumers reach for the phone. Power users, smartphone fans and general tech fanatics might want to wait for the Samsung Galaxy S8 to be launched, especially since that handset will be powered by the new Snapdragon 835 chipset...

From what I understand the carrier locked versions had issues thanks to the carrier bloatware muching things up as well as holding up the update process to fix any possible issues.

LG G6 SD 821 maybe Next Year LG G7 !!!

But what will happen when Qualcomm releases the successor to the SD835, and LG Chooses to use the predecessor in 2018 for their LG G7? will you still hold up to this statement "maybe Next Year LG G7!!!"? just wondering.

Don't worry 90% of casual won't care at all. It will still pump sales as long as g6 will have smooth optimization, better battery and good camera that can compete with galaxy and pixel.

BINGO! "optimization" is the key. That's right! ^_^

Am I only one that thinks it is slightly weird for them to be leading off their campaign by advertising reliability?

It is very much weird...but after bootloops galore and complaints left and right, it only makes sense that they'd want consumers to know that they won't have to worry about reliability. But unfortunately, of course LG would want people to believe the G6 will be a reliable device if they want a shot at it selling decently. We'll have to see some real world usage from the general public for a few weeks before assuming that they've truly built a reliable G-series flagship.

Considering the past few iterations of their flagships have been plagued by issues, kinda.

"aspect ratio of 18:9." Is it harder to say 2 to 1? These marketing lingos, they sound great but not practical though.

LG should end making smart phones. They never had success and I am sure they won't do this time around either.

Fix the boot loop problem. Get some replacement glass for the camera lens on the V20. Been trying to help a co worker find some parts but no luck yet.

If they can actually release the LG Rolling Bot that can monitor your home that will be nice and I will actually get the phine. I bought the LG g5 because I thought I would be able to use it but turns out we aint getting it.

Well it wasn't that bad. Despite LG seems to take jab at Samsung, we all know that both companies have been joining hands to develop a high level of technology that no other can't even in imagine.

Lg must provide best battery life among flagships and useful features which gives it an edge over other flagships in order to compensate on processor. To be honest If am paying heavy price for a flagship then no one wants to settle with last year's chip.I think Galaxy S8 already has an edge in chip department in comparison to Lg G6.Lets see what wow factors Lg G6 has to offer.

4 gigabytes ram? Oh no, that is a dealbreaker. I expected 8 GB, at least 6.

LG never properly addressed the bootlooping problems in their past and current smartphones... I've been burnt 3 times by them and LG has possibly the worse non responsive customer service. I'll never buy anything from LG again.

Reliable? Hahaha. I work for one of the national carriers and I can tell you with for a fact that LGs are the absolute worst. Boot loops all day!

Lets hope that this G6 wouldn't have those problems from the previous devices such as bootloop. And since it has dual camera setup, 4GB of RAM, snapdragon 821 chipset, and a 1440 display. This should become the second device which is both compatible with daydream view and tango AR.
