LG G4 makes brief cameo on official LG video: shows off genuine leather back

The LG G4 has leaked out practically in its entirety by now, and there's little left to imagination for the official unveiling that LG will hold with international events in six large global metros on April 28th.

While we have seen a lot about the LG G4 in images, it's somewhat different to see it live on video, and that's exactly what LG offers us in this latest teaser video from LG Korea.

The focus falls on the beautiful geniune leather back and the craftsmanship that goes into making that material fit the LG G4. We've already seen leaks that show that the phone will be offered in two versions: one with a leather back, and another one with a plastic back case.

Check out this latest peek at the LG G4 right below, and learn all about it in our LG G4 rumor round-up here.

If you take care of it, it wont, plus leather, unless you rub a hole in it can be refinished.

Obviously, genuine leather is better than faux leather and a lot sturdier than glass. But nothing beats plastic or metal.

Hemp plastic is more stronger than original plastic or metal and it's very light + it's cheaper than carbon fiber https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryO2JLzFPTY

Obviously faux leather is better than genuine leather, as no animals had to die and you dont always have to touch dead animal skin. Leather will look atlot worse and stitches will open on its own after some time of using.

So you don't eat meat because animals had to die and you have to put dead animal flesh in your mouth? The back is removable so you can buy another on eBay for probably 5-10 dollars and replace it so that point is moot.

I would switch to being vegetarian if i could and werent addicted to meat. But i dont need my phones to consists of dead animals aswell and dont want to be reminded all the time when touching it. Besides the S808 CPU is a no go for a 2015 flagship for me, which i wont to carry for atleast 2 years.

You do understand that leather comes from same animals you eat only difference is that you use it and not waste it with your protests.

Yes i'm eating cows and pigs but I'm not eating calves, goats, sheeps, steeds, buffalos, donkeys, snakes and other animals where they make also leather out of. And as i said i dont wanna get reminded of the dead animal skin everytime i touch it and also dont wanna support the leather industry aswell.

If it came from pigs and cows, I think it would make sense to buy it instead (If you eat meat). I think there will be a plastic version anyway. p.s. Pigs are very smart...

Not a scientist so I could be wrong (and i won't be surprised if i am) but I believe plastics use oils in it... and oils come from dead animals as well

@TBomb Yeah there is also human body "particles"... why you don't kill and eat people around?... -_-" All extreme reasoning loses sense. It makes sense to worry only about what you can change.

Did you just say you're addicted to meat? lol walking right into that one. Seriously, all animals that are harvested to be served to you on a plate or grocery store isn't just scrapped. Meaning All components are used and serves many purposes. If lg doesn't use it,then someone else will. Why? Because it's already available for all the meat that is available.

Eating meat keeps me alive and is a necessary evil for me till i can quit eating meat somewhen. Using genuine lether doesn't give me any important benefits and that's why i dont wanna additionally support an industry which kills even more and other animals for a product, if i have a choice and option not to.

Dont want dead animals on your phone? Then dont buy any phone. Silicone is made from sand. Sand is made from shells and fossils. Shells and fossils are from dead animals.

Which died on their own, just like our fuel comes from fossils and werent killed in droves by humans. But to each their own. If i would buy the G4, which i dont because of the S808, i would get a plastic version.

If it weren't for animal hides, our ancestors would not survive the cold and probably no one will probably exist from now. And yeah, I'm preaching history now. Lol!

Prove they 'died' on their own. Another animal most likely killed them off, very rarely do animals in the wild die of 'old' age.

Even if you weren't addicted you still shouldn't cut it off completely. Lean red meat is part of the optimal diet and is key to how well your body can absorb iron.

There is nearly no difference in looking and durability between fake and real leather. For clothing, yeah, real leather can "breathe", but that aspect is completely unnecessary for a phone.

Guys, it's only a removable back cover with maybe 1-3mm of leather, so people grabbing it will be able to swap the back in case of any problem in time. It's not a coat.

Its incredibl, we bitch when it's fake leather, then there's complaints when it real, don't wear leather shoes, have leather wallet, tree hugging greening are you? DONT drive a car, truck, motorbike. Live in tree house & eat veges, now dose that sound better? Now back to the phone, I think the stitching might feel "uncomfortable " the way it is vertically? IM going for the FLEX2, thank u.

I think the vierticle stitch might be okay... my experience with stitching is that it's somewhere raised (at least textered) which can act as a grip like feel since it's textured in that area. Also, a horizontal stitch would just look ugly in my opinion... no stitch... debatable if it would be good or not.
