LG G3 was supposed to come with even smaller bezels, LG executive says

Yes, once it hits the shelves, the LG G3 will come with a spectacular screen-to-size ratio, but apparently the maker from the Far East wanted to make the bezels of its 2014 flagship smartphone even smaller. This was revealed by Chul Bae Lee, the VP of LG Mobile's design lab. He claims that he had been constantly urging the engineers to decrease the width of G3's bezels even more, but a number of technical restrictions prevented them from actually meeting Lee's requirement...

Honestly I don't think phoned need to get any thinner. I am more likely to notice a smaller bezel then a slight increase in thickness.

Actually the sides of the phone are OK already. Where they really need to reduce the size is at the top and bottom parts of the phone. Especially since it dont has physical buttom at the lower part and only has a useless LG letters that can be at the back of the phone. And although the top part has the ear speaker and the front camera it still can be made smaller any way...

I'd had such high hopes for a OnePlus One... But if they don't get their production capabilities up to snuff beyond an invite-only system, then a shiny new LG G3 (GPE for me) may very well be in my future.

Beside a good screen to body ratio, there is really nothing special about this phone. All the hype build around it, but watch the sales number be a tragedy. Not hating on LG but Im just so tried of ppl keep saying how good this phone is, when in reality name one thing it did that other phone makers has not done.

Disagree on the features. It does almost everything better. As a matter of fact LG had an excellent year last year in mobile. Why such a hater - a little jelly me thinks? Your galaxy is still good no need to rag everyone else.

I liked it. No bezels will make us touch the screen involuntarily.
