LG Chocolate phone goes to Europe

LG Electronics announced that it plans to launch a GSM version of the KG800 Chocolate mobile phone in Europe. The sales are expected to start on May 3, 2006. The slim slide-designed device, which was released in Korea last November, turned out to be very popular. It focuses on both design and functionality. It is said to be the world's first mobile phone to feature a touch keypad, which glows red when in use. The European version of the LG Chocolate phone will slightly differ from the one launched on the Korean market. According to sources close to the South Korean firm, LG wants to launch the model as quickly as possible before it could be copied by other mobile phone manufacturers.
