Expected to be introduced at the Google I/O show tomorrow, Kindle for Android appears headed for a summer launch. The app will work on Android handsets running Android 1.6 or higher with an SD card. Once installed on your phone, you will be able to browse, search and purchase your reading material from the 500,000 e-book selections in the store. And all of this can be accomplished without even leaving the app. Just like the version of Kindle that has been available for BlackBerry and Apple's iPhone/iPod/iPad, Android users will be able to have bookmarks, notes, last page read and highlights synced across all of your devices that support Kindle.
