Japan's NEC to re-enter U.S. Mobile Phone Market
According to an NEC spokeswomen, the company will re-enter the US mobile phone market this summer with the popular Internet-ready handsets that have made it Japan's top cell phone supplier. NEC began selling mobile phones in the US in the late 80s, but pulled out in 2000 due to strong price competition from Nokia and Motorola. Additional details will be announced on July 22nd.
