Kind of expected real or fake. To me phone exploding is very rare but it still can happen on all phone. It is because after Samsung battery incident, the media is crazy about reporting and sharing about every incident of phone exploding and this the public is thinking that the situation is bad.

Samsung lead the way in its recall when its devices were blowing up, Apple better do the same if there is a deeper issue with its batteries.

They will. No company wants to risk the slam dunk lawsuits that injury or property loss from that would incur.

i don't believe it. people just looking for a fast buck and think apple will anyup and pay based off of ludicrous claim

144. willard12 unregistered

Unfortunately, the user is saying something happened between the factory and delivery, not from any use on their part or alleging any personal damages. So, unless UPS (who really wants Apple's business) is looking for a quick buck, you may want to revise your conspiracy theory. Also unfortunately, there will be more and more stories. And with each story, based on all of your Samsung comments, you will end up looking like more and more of a hypocrite.

So the only winner is Huawei, slowly gaining smartphone market share. Apart from being the #1 mobile internet provider.

by thinking logical to me it looks like there have been external force on the box and the phone inside got damaged so the battery got punctered causing the "explosion". look at the box in the pictures on 9to5mac . (cant post link since i just registred) phonearena please include all the pictures in the artical so people can draw their own conclusion!
