I watched the episode and while not pausing it and looking intently at the device assumed it was an iphone. Most shows with a hip cool character always seem to have them using an iphone. Most techy characters use something else (Bones used a Windows phone, Hardison from Leverage uses an Android, usually HTC). If the character is a non techy, non hip action guy they give them a flip phone (Gibbs from NCIS, Booth from Bones). But most people would, like I did with the phone on Elementary assume it's an iphone. If nothing else you've gotta give it up for apple's marketing team. The first time I saw the Nexus7 camping ad I assumed it was for an ipad, because before that the only tablet ads for android were from the carriers. Now that carriers aren't subsidizing them, the oems are making their own spots (Nexus7, Galaxy Note 10.1).
