Is OnePlus a wholly owned subsidiary of Oppo? Chinese document suggests that the answer is yes

Ever since Peter Lau left Oppo late last year to start OnePlus, there have been questions about the true ownership of the upstart phone manufacturer. Lau has continually denied that OnePlus is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oppo. And for those who ask why the OnePlus One looks so much like the Oppo Find 7, Lau replied, "perhaps its because our aesthetics standard trends to be similar", and added that "all phone(s) nowadays looks like iPhone."...

I'd rather be informed that I cant get a oneplus one because theyre sold out rather than because I dont have an invite. At least being sold out means people want your phone. The invite system annoys me and I dont see the point.

Why posting this non-news, everybody knows already One Plus is Oppo. One Plue One = OPO, 1 + 1 = 2, OPO + 2 = OPO2 Common its so obvious. End users dont care about the behind the scene big guys they just want good products at low cost. Seems Oppo has run out of steam hyping the One so now we get to read these non-news. After Xiaomi's non-buy products its now all about who makes the most dirty marketing to hit the headlines.... so sad :(

"End users dont care about the behind the scene big guys they just want good products at low cost." Gladly, there are many persons out there who do care. You not caring about either syntax or how and by whom these products you buy were manufactured both revealing and insignificant at the same time.
