Instapaper's premium features now free for all users

Instapaper, the read-it-later app for Android and iOS now has its formerly premium functionality available for free. The premium subscription used to cost $2.99 per month ($29.99 per year) and includes ad-free reading, full-text search for all articles, unlimited note taking, text-to-speech playlists, unlimited speed reading, easy sending of materials to Amazon Kindle devices, and Kindle digests of up to 50 articles.

The app was recently acquired by the social network Pinterest, and since than has progressively dropped the paid-for functionality in favor of free. It's still one of the best apps for saving online articles for later offline reading, and with the full functionality now unlocked for regular users, it practically blows the competition away.
