Microsoft Store removes Instagram app for Windows 10 Mobile

There are many ways to say that the party is really over. You can stop providing beverages and food, you can scream at the top of your lungs for everyone to "GET OUT," or you can remove Instagram for Windows Phone from the Microsoft Store. A recent update to Instagram for Windows 10 to version 30.1569.12133.0 added some new features, but removed the option to install the app on handsets running the mobile version of the OS...

I do wish MS had succeeded, the hardware was just not up-to the mark unfortunately...If the SD 810 fiasco had not occurred, then I guess the smartphone market would still be a three-horse race...

The biggest enemy of this platform was Microsoft themselves. They seemed to have gone out of their way to cripple it with crappy first party apps and seemingly no encouragement for third parties to take the platform seriously.

What a waste of time and resources, I don't see the point of removing the app from their store. Despite the fact that this platform is dead for a few years, it would be great for existing windows users to use this app that they were waiting for so long.

BB10 and Windows Mobile are pretty much dead at this point. Everything is iOS or Android now. This is just another nail in the coffin for other mobile OS.

Should I be surprised about this? I noticed that Insta is no longer supporting this OS since it stopped pushing out updates since September last year

Still works fine as of right now on my 950. Haters going to hate tho, it's what they do
