Oh that thing is priced too close to 16gb iphone 5, even xperia z and lumia 920 is cheaper than that. It is better to wait for sgs4 or even the m7.

ahhh I am from india and u knw what this is going to be a epic fail here cause in india HTC has really rare value. on top of that local brands are doing well too. and smartphone market is captured by sammy. with that super price one can actually get an Intel Core I7 with 8 gig of ram....

I think when this phone hits the store it will be priced lesser than 44000, if not then its going to be tough for this phone to compete with galaxy note 2 , Lumia 920 and Iphone5/4S.

As HTC doesnot manufacture it within India it is assisted with import duty ,plus every state and city has a different tax structure in india . And yes apple is not as popular in india as in US .......there are very few takers for Tablets in india . Among smartphones Samsung is more popular and affordable in india because of its customising ability and lower prices. Some even argue why they should purchase useless(as they cant customise its look),littile (in size) and expensive apple product when the more better options are available . And most of indians use thier phone not for productivity issues but only as an entertainment unit. So if u can play same Games on cheaper phone who will go to buy apple or higher end phones?

Every time I see an article about India getting a high end device my first thought is "Great! Any word on when women will get civil rights and the 95% of the population without running water will get plumbing?"
Not trying to slam the country but...priorities folks.

women have civil rights in india, we may see a few violations but that's because the population is too high, and the govt is very soft.......indians are good and friendly, the crime rate in india is much lower than in america and most of the countries in the world, even after getting more freedom than most of the other countries
and 95% of the indian aren't without running water but yes, there are many people without running water in india, the things can improve, the govt should step in but, sincerely, if the population is reduced, everything will be fine....and don't forget that there are millions of people without running water in USA, even after having 4 times lesser population than india
when india gets back its trillions of black money from the swiss banks and when they reduce their population, they will become a super power.....there are more talent kids in India than there are kids in USA, china is doing well for itself but china isn't a democratic country,so......we have seen what foxconn does with their employees, democracy may not be as effective as the chinese govt, but people will have more freedom.....

India problem is the political class which basically is corrupt, swindles money to tax havens and then that money comes back to India in form of Wal-Mart et al. India doesn't need Wal-mart but it's politicians money which has to come back and such deals are the on ly way to make it look legal ... that's the biggest problem in India ... it's controlled by the "Mafioso" :(

Come out of cave is the response ... if it's so bad why did walmart try all it's "Arsepower" to come to India? Why is Mosanto lobbying to push the s**t that it makes ... into India (though same crap is banned in many EU countries)?
