India officially rejects Apple's bid to sell refurbished iPhones in the country

'"We are not in favor of any company selling used phones in the company, however certified they may be." How to understand this sentence where "company selling used phone in the company" ?

Good move. Something that is made in China and when its broken and refurbished they want to sell it in India. Take it back to China and sell it there and let Indian phone maker do some business in India.

Hmmm. I see it like this, Android phone manufacturer must sell millions at cost to barely make it. Apple sells thousands at a high price a low to manufacture to make profit. Who suffers more when they are down by a thousand phones?

But India manufacturers it's own Android smartphones. Apple manufacturers nothing in India. Also Apple has less than 2% of the market share in India. If Apple doesn't drop their prices, then Apple will stay insignificant in India.

You would think they would had been happy, since a new iPhone would cost about 56% of the median income.

Wait, What? What does 30% locally sourced mean? Is Samsung S7 30% locally sourced? I doubt that......

If you can call a nation that actively subjugates it's people to extremely poor living conditions in most areas and offers terrible assistance to those below the poverty "prideful" you would be right. Too bad pride is a sin, and 90% of India is a hellhole where you go when you've committed one :D.

I would like to correct you on that... 20% of India is a hellhole and the rest of the people are way more civilised that people in the most civilised countries! Just because we don't want s**tty phones doesn't make India prideful... the current condition that India faces is because we've been looted and was oppressed once and it will take time to recover... also the government was s**tty for the last 10 years... If Narendra Modi is our PM for 8more years India might be one of the developed country out there!
