In stereo: Xperia Z2 S-Force Front Surround speakers vs HTC One BoomSound

The same tune was loaded on both phones, and the sound played through the stereo speakers at maximum volume. Granted, the show floor there is quite noisy, but a difference in strength and quality is still audible, so check out the video below to learn which handset excelled...

Z2 sounded quite a lot louder & clearer - I was surprised, thought the htc one would still have this one!

This test is absolute RUBBISH! 1/ the camera used has a very crap microphone which has TERRIBLE frequency range, completely misses any low-end sounds... so you would NEVER capture what you would hear with your ears using this awful microphone 2/ most of you are using your PHONES to see how it sounds! How idiotic is that... you cannot judge the quality of other equipment playing back on a phone loudspeaker. You HAVE to use a very good hifi or headphones to judge. @Daniel P, if you used a professional external microphone, the test would be valid, IF listened to on full-range output. BESIDES all this, the HTC One tested is the old one!!! So WTF is the point?

Z2 is much clearer with better mid to high tones, I think the Z2 wins here, but need to listen to it in real life to judge. Anyway, pretty funny accent there Daniel. :D

Would love to hear the old wt19i live walkman compared to these - unfortunately the htc is the winner here!

Yeah, I was surprised at how good the Z2 sounded, and it is waterproof. Sony really pulled out everything for this one. Here's hoping that it comes to every carrier in the US, I know I will buy it on Sprint if it does.

Well someone better forward this article off to Peter Chou. Maybe they can do a last minute bump in the M8 speaker output. Don't let Sony steal your Boomsound thunder HTC. But also how is it that HTC didn't patent the dual front facing speakers? Because if Apple had thought of it there would be a dozen patents protecting the design.....rectangular phone with matching bezel sizes with rounded corners....gah...stupid Apple...

and moreover sony's speakers are not both frontal.
