Imagine a battery for your phone that will charge to 70% full in two minutes, and last for 20 years

Imagine having a battery inside your phone that can quickly recharge to 70% full in two minutes. Now, imagine that this cell will last 20 years before requiring a replacement. The title is misleading. It makes it seem like the battery can last for 20 years on one charge. Click bait I guess...

I'm confused right now , please educate me , does this article say that a smartphone battery could last on a single charge for 20 years , or the battery will last for 20 years without replacing it , English isn't my first language that's why I'm confused !!!!

20 years without replacing. It would still only last a day or so.

Imagine Apple stopped making iPhones thinner with each iteration for the sake of having a thinner phone than the last generation and tried to make long lasting batteries on their phones that would really differentiate them from the rest, because as far as software and hardware features , they finally just caught up with Android.

I know this is dumb, but I initially thought they meant 5 years on a single charge lol. Oops.

The inventor will get bought out and the patent will be filed and never will see the light of day. This kind of tech would kill the cash flow to battery manufacturers such as Energizer and Duracell. Sad to say to..

1 month is enough for me. I don't need 5,10,15,20 years before I charged my iPhone battery.

20 year battery on a phone that is obsolete in 6 months. Good idea. I like that the battery charges extremely quickly. That part is worth it.
