Hmmmm, that is a unique looking situation there. Probably battery related but if it was in her purse, then the fault wasn't charging it. Can't wait for the final word on this one since the picture looks like the top of the phone exploded, which doesn't make sense.

Sealed tin can don't let you see if the battery is swollen , or the battery to push out the battery cover. Even if the battery is original.

Excellent observation! It is imperative that batteries be visually checked periodically for damage and operation. That is the importance of having access to the most integral part of an electronic device. My guess is that this incident will be a direct issue with an overheated battery. Charging does not need to be initiated in order for a battery to overheat and go into self-destruction. Simple issues as programs still running on a weak or damaged battery can toast the cells. Apple-based cults may ridicule technologies that take up free-will offerings.

Two words: Apple is a leading tech company, just like the other big for profit tech companies. All greedy, all money driven, and all producing for low and selling high. That's like a bazillion words, but you get the picture. Wait till it reads this post.

Sometimes you guys are so annoying and stupid. Amongst all the million iPhones and galaxies when 1 or 2 catches fire then you guys come here shouting and pointing figures. Aren't you guys old enough to have some common sense??? They are gadgets, a few of them are bound to have issues.

With non removable battery no chance user be using poorly manufactured third parties battery and yet the iPhone is no less common in fire incidents. They really need better battery procurement and quality check.

You only think it's common because the press loves to report about Apple all the time. With Android's 90% market share, these incidents are much more common.

And I am sure you have better coverage then all the media combined to boldly utter such a statement with complete reliability.

Post #7 and that's only from Samsung. Do you even have common sense?

65. tech2

Posts: 3487; Member since: Oct 26, 2012

lol...back-pedalling now are we ? Post 7 didn't criticize the media ....YOU DID ! Also, you clearly say that press turns blind eye on android and only reports Apple. I merely asked for evidence. P.S: Don't bother replying with rhetoric rant unless you have an actual link claiming your allegations on media.

The press loves to report on Apple. Read post #39 and multiply that with androids market share. Use some common sense please :)
