Not even once, nor has my wife’s. We’ve both tried several times to replicate the issue, and in every scenario our devices charged. I hope it’s software, and fixed quick for those suffering. These iPhones cost a ton, but Apple is good at getting fixes out fast.

Agreed. We can’t rely on Apple to make iOS on iPhone more powerful/ productive but we can rely on Apple to fix issues in a timely manner.

It’s looking like a software bug with the USB accessories feature bro. Apple has already fixed it in the 12.1 or 12.01 beta. Check this out https://youtu.be/9Gd6GebX9rI

Next Iphone: remove the the problem - get rid of the charging port. But honestly, when I plug in my iphone or any phone, i instinctively need to hear the "pleep" or screen to show it's charging, its not always that the cable is plugged into wall socket, or w/e. So I doubt anyone fell asleep after plugging in the device as it would make you wonder why it didnt "bleep" or wake the screen when you plugged it in.

They should be able to do that in a year or two.

If they do that would be stupid. So what we suppose to carry wireless chargers in our pockets for an iPhone they last just k ve half a single work day?

Actually, there are some pretty good portable power banks that offer wireless. My mother has one. May only be 5K mah, but it works.

Efficiency will be much worse than normal power bank, normal powerbank could deliver 80% of it's total capacity, wireless will be lower than 70%. But, why bother carrying power bank/charger when your phone have great battery life?

And iPhones are known to have rrally bad battery lives.

Only those that never used the last 3y iPhones imagine that they have bad battery life; the plus sized are actually some of the best in this department.

My Note 9 last 2 works days on a single charge.

iPhones batteries are proven to last a whole full day, the tech is evolving and next year we might see 10-12h out of the same sized battery so it's safe to remove the charging port altogether. I don't know what will be done for data transfers or dfu mode, but it's then who need to figure it out; I will just be glad to get rid of another cable.

“Simply Unacceptable” is a very strong word. Its not like they do this wantedly to get bad PR. Its a bug thats going to get fixed. Relax people. If it is more serious, I am sure Apple will offer a replacement to affected devices. Apple definitely needs to do more with the money they are pooling in but its not the end of the world. A big thanks to Unbox Therapy for posting these issues. Your videos mean a lot for consumers.

He's just an ordinary YouTuber with a bit of speech and average knowledge. It's fun to watch but most of its videos are pure subjective and bias thoughts.

He tells it how it is, no bias. Top man

A dude that thinks xs's resolution is the same as 4's is just ignorant.

XR you mean same ppi as the 4, its true, watch his video. ; )

No, I mean that dumb mofo has no idea that ppi and screen resolution are two separate things. Another stupid thing: claiming that a lower than FHD display could not show FHD videos when in fact every phone is capable to up/down scale videos. And the last think that mofo was ignorant about in that video - it remains to be proved by tests - is battery life: the resolution - which is fine for a high quality display such as in iPhone - should help XR be a beast in this department. And that's why that dude is just a ignorant buffoon.

When your brain will be doing the mistake of telling you that a big number of dumb ass followers matter, you should tell it that, although songs like Gangnam Style and Despacito broke records, they remain still pieces of s**t.

There were many times I felt his videos were heavily biased but if you observe closely, he is just asking for Apple to give a little more for thier price tags. I really wanted to upgrade from my 7 to XR but Apple gave a poor resolution screen on a large device and their modem is last years. I cannot think of spending $750 for these specs in 2018. Also it wouldn’t kill them to give a slightly faster charger in 2018 for $750 phones. These are the things Unbox Therapy deals with a lot.

You are absolutely right to not settle for anything less than what you expect to get from a phone, but that is not the point of our discussion. I don't know how it is going to be, but XR has all the ingredients to be a great device: one of the best quality displays (with a resolution that makes it similar to a device that was rated "the best" 2y ago, beating any oled panel; if you didn't know, that is your 7; things are different today and oled got way better, but the LCD in the new iPhone probably is the best LCD on the market), a bit oversized, if you ask me; I also have a 7 and my average internet speeds are 80-100 Mbps (unless you're using the phone as a modem, everything over 50 Mbps gets you the same experience on a mobile; that doesn't mean that I'll cut Apple some slack, if xr internet speeds are going to be s**tty); I never bought phones because of their spec sheet. I go back to the first sentence: you're right, the users should get more for their bucks (that's what Huawei offers for a few years now) and some phones have gotten excessively expensive (Samsung models included), but that's another topic.

Right again, bro, we should respect one another even when we disagree.

Yes, "simply unacceptable" are very strong words to use. But these problems simply should not be present, especially in devices that cost over $1000. Apple has more than enough money necessary to ensure quality and no issues

I don't own an Iphone, nor do I plan to in the near future, but no phone is perfect straight off the assembly line. There are bound to be some issues present. Issues are present in just about anything that is mass produced and cost way more than cell phones do.
