i'd say all these smartphones have in the camera the one hardware/software feature which is the most similar! if you chose the smartphone based on the camera, you could get any of those.

Because HTC is now a niche OEM.

It's seem to be unfair. Why not try iPhone 7 vs Lg V20 vs Galaxy Note 7?

I think they have left the V20 for a future test. They have included phone available widely

Is anyone else impressed at how good all of them are? Used to be only a few phones had good cameras. These all seem more than passable.

V20 has the exact same rear camera hardware as the G5, so same result.

I can see that people are just voting for the most saturated picture without actually analysing it.

people simply choose what they like.. any problem with that?

Not really, but it doesn't actually mean it's objectively the best. While samsung is more pleasing to the eye by default, if you know some image editing in photoshop or lightroom, you can get better pictures with other phones (lg probably is the best idk). You can easily tell samsung apart just by its sharpening algorithm and colors.

If your buying a smartphone purely for it's camera you have issues. Not much differentiation between all those sample pics.
